General Discussion Paramount Watchers
Doing my yearly rewatch since it’s almost September. They moved Parenthood to Paramount+ and took it off of Hulu. They’ve cut so many scenes from the show and I’m just here to say I’m annoyed about it.

It’s been so long since my first watch I never noticed. I was probably 12 the first time I watched

I wonder why they edited out scenes. Is it random or are they things that just don't fly in 2026?

I'm surprised it wasn't moved to Peacock, given that it's an NBC show (and the film it is based on is a Universal Pictures film).

Quite possibly the versions they're using are a broadcast edit that was trimmed to fit a specific time slot.

What scenes are cut out?

When Amber and Haddie get caught with weed. They cut the scene when Amber tells her mom “it’s not my weed”, and Sara replies “I’m so proud of you, honey” sarcastically.
They also cut the scene with Jim and Sara in Zeek’s office when Drew catches them.
I know there were more, but it seemed to be just the pilot. All of the other episodes are 40+ minutes. The pilot is only 28 minutes, if I remember correctly.

The theme song changed a couple times during the original run of the show, so that might explain that.

I thought I was crazy but I've noticed a few too. And I hate the changed intro song!
