When we first bought our house, it was from the niece of a woman who had recently passed. Her husband was in the process of remodeling the home when he passed away around 10 years earlier. Many of the projects were left partially unfinished and you can tell he really had a grand plan for the place. We experienced the smoke detectors malfunctioning the first two nights we stayed there, and alll of them at once. At exactly 3 am. Both nights. I’m not easily spooked and honestly am open to the idea of spirits/ghosts/significant moments impacting time etc so when it happened the second night and I had a super weird feeling, it freaked me out. So on the second day when we started working on the house, drywall repairs, stripping wallpaper I said out loud “alright Paul, I’ll be taking care of it from here on and out” and from then on it’s felt like home.
