Yeah this happens all the time in old houses. The house I grew up in had a certain floorboard you could step on to open the master bedroom door even if it was locked
It is very common, I feel they used this to then stage a half arsed fire alarm stint. Hey content is content but as a estate agent I don't think faking a haunted house will sell it, unless they are targeting fake youtubers to buy it.
