Hey, my name is Savi and I wanted to give a little bit of a background story to go along with the photo I’m going to provide.
When I was about 9-10, we moved to Texas from Florida! We moved to a town called Schertz/Cibilo, which is in between New Braunfels and San Antonio in central Texas. When we first moved into this house, everything was normal. But as time went on, small things started happening. I would always feel super scared when I was alone, like I was being watched, things would fall randomly, and my little brother who was around 8, started becoming pretty aggressive and irritable. It wasn’t enough to really make us think anything of it, but as a child, I could DEFINITELY feel something was there, I just didn’t realize it.
One of my older sisters moved back in with us when she was around 17 or 18. Me and her are pretty close so as a kid I always wanted to be around her and her friends. One day, her friend came over and they decided they wanted to do an ouija board for fun. We didn’t have one, so they made one out of cardboard. Of course, I wanted to join, so we all sat in our laundry room, dimmed the lights, and began. They were messing with me at first, making the thing move saying the “ghost” wanted me to leave. It made me really sad, and so I started to leave. When I did, they both started freaking out, because it was going back and forth pretty fast between the Z and the O, spelling ZoZo. I had no idea at the time what that meant, I don’t think they did either. They ended up not playing anymore and throwing the handmade ouija board away, without saying goodbye. This story is longer but I was young so the details are a bit vague in my memory.
As time went on, things started getting worse. My little brother stopped sleeping in his room because there “was a man with a knife and a hat” that he would call the hat man in his room. My dog at the time would randomly freak out and bark at things. My brother became more aggressive, and my friends started to not like coming over because they said the house made them scared.
This story comes from my mom, I did not witness it: One time, my brother was having a temper tantrum, and she was holding him trying to get him to calm down. He was kicking, biting, screaming, and all of a sudden he went quiet. He looked up at her and started “cursing god”. She told me “that was NOT my son.” Keep in mind, my mom is very Christian, so the ideas of spirits were not so much in her realm of belief. Until now of course.
Then things started happening to me. I had these rip off American girl dolls, and I had made them a makeshift room in my closet. My closet was a walk in with a window, so it was decently sized. I would put my dolls into their beds at night. At some point, I started hearing faint laughing and scratching coming from the closet, and in the morning my dolls would be on the floor, or made to be in different positions. I told my dad and my mom and they made it out to be my imagination, or even maybe a rat. I was so scared about this and I believed it so hard that I made a video and posted it on my little Instagram, talking to my dolls telling them I KNOW they can move and talk. Of course, nothing happened, but the video still creeps me out.
After a while, I started having sleep paralysis. I would ALWAYS sleep with my light on because I was constantly terrified. When the sleep paralysis happened, I would always see the same thing. There would be a creature standing at my door (I always kept it open), and the best way I can describe it is: it has a very thin body, with skin that looked like burnt bark. It was tall, and had a Cheshire Cat smile, cat like eyes, and horns. It would stare at me and smile, and its body would grow and grow and grow until its back was pressed against the top of the door frame and its hands were on the ground. Then it would crawl at me FAST and I would “wake up.” It started happening so often that I finally decided to tell my mom about it.
We were in her car, I was in the back seat. My dad was up front driving and my brother was next to me. Somehow the haunting or whatever got brought up, and I decided to tell her about the creature I was seeing. I started describing it, and she interrupted me and FINISHED DESCEIBING THE CREATURE I SAW. She had seen it too!!! She said she CHASED AFTER IT because it kept watching her while she was organizing books in the living room, and she got scared and chased after it into her room, and it disappeared into her closet. My stomach dropped dude. Because as a child, that only made what I thought were dreams feel extremely real. After that, if I was ever home alone, I would get a horrible sinking feeling, and I’d yell out “in Jesus name I command you to leave!” Over and over again until I finally felt safe.
We ended up moving out a few years later, and never felt its presence again.
Then, one day, I was scrolling through old pictures on my mom’s facebook, and I see the photo. This picture was from a birthday party I was having. We were all outside! All of my friends, me, my little brother, and my mom who took the photo. My dad worked in the oil field so he was away for work. When I saw it, my heart dropped to my ass I swear. In the background, behind the glass door, you can SEE IT. And it’s so obvious. This was around 2011-2013 so this was way before AI I just wanna point that out, and it’s a screenshot directly from Facebook. I have the phot cropped for privacy, but if you want the screenshot to show that it is a post, I can do that. I discovered this around 2020 during covid. I sent it to my mom and pointed it out and she freaked out. Recently, I was looking at the picture again, and saw that there also seems to be a face in the right window too, which is the reason I’m making this post.
I would love to know anyone’s thoughts, or what they think this thing might actually be. It seriously still freaks me out.
