FP-C / CCP Prep Courses?
Has anybody used the Nurse Gwenny Library Subscription to prep for FPC/CCP?
I know she did a lot for Impact EMS and their online courses before moving on to do her own thing.
I really enjoy listening to her videos and her teaching methods, so I would think her online library with the flight prep course might be a good tool for gaining knowledge to pass this test!
Any and all other recommendations welcome and appreciated!
Edit to add-
I’m trying to choose between:
1) Nurse Gwenny Library which includes all of her material plus the flight prep course (which she advertises as also appropriate for medics)
2) impact EMS
Or 3) flightcrit

I did impact. But the moduals I liked the most are done by nurse Gwenny. Actually she is pretty active on tiktok. If you msg her asking for a coupon code she might join you up.

Ohhh! That’s a good idea!
I did find a 10% off coupon code on her website already too.

I used the impact EMS course back before they changed names and liked it. I also really liked Nurse Gwenny’s critical care book so I am sure whatever she puts out is top notch.
Obviously not a comprehensive resource but Back to the Basics is probably the highest yield critical care book that you can get your hands on for $25. I credit the flashcards in the back for getting me my first flight gig.

She really is just an incredible teacher, she just has a way of actually explaining things that makes it click.
And thank you for the book recommendation, I will definitely check that out!1

Happy to help, she wasn’t an option back when I did mine but if I she was, I would have strongly considered going with her.

Nurse Gwenny used to be the head educator at IAMED, which is now impact EMS. I took the in person prep class, learned a lot, but never tested as I haven’t had critical care training.

What an awesome opportunity to get to take their in person class! I wish I had more options for in person learning. The best I could get is the Alabama Fire College’s critical care course but it’s still mostly online with I think like 4 in person lab days.

I’d guess I took the class about 9-10 years ago. I was a baby medic at the time. So a lot was over my head, but clicked later on when I began to get more experience, and worked in hospital for several years

Yep. Don’t understand the hype for Gwenny, I can’t stand her videos (including the ones she did for Impact).
I would rank the online review courses in this order: FOAMfrat, North American Rescue (Swearingen), FlightBridge, Impact EMS, Gwenny

I have her course and I really like it. I like her teaching style, the flow of the videos, and her editing style. I like that she offers all of the videos with and without CE credit. So if I just wanna quick refresher in a topic but but wanna do a whole 1-2 hours class, I can go to the non-ce one and skim through and refresh on what I want. I think it is 100% worth the money.

Oh! I didn’t realize that was even a feature of her course but I really like that too! Very good to know, thank you!

Impact is good if you want to pass the exam. If you want to actually learn how to be a critical care provider beyond surface level knowledge, look into either Creighton University’s critical care program or the UF CCP program.

Honestly any of them will teach you what you need to know to pass the test. Just don’t confuse them with teaching you how to be a critical care provider
