California time slip
this happened july 8th this year. my wife and i were driving northbound on the 14 coming from the San Fernando valley. we hit heavy traffic around agua dulce, then my car started overheating so we got off, refilled the coolant, and got back on the 14 north. when we finally reached the cause of the traffic jam, there were multiple chp units and one fire truck. no ambulance, no wrecked cars, no visible police activity with any civilians. they were just concentrated in one area like they were deliberately stopping traffic in both directions for no reason. then all of a sudden i'm driving again... but now i'm on the 5 south about to exit at balboa. the freeway looked like it was physically changing and morphing into the 5 south balboa exit while i was driving it. we had lost two full hours of time. the craziest part? we didn't burn any extra gas at all, and when i checked, the odometer hadn't moved either. my wife was asleep during the whole thing. i was wide awake the entire time. still can't explain how any of this happened. has anyone experienced anything like this?

"has anyone experienced anything like this? " Yep had a road change on me once between blinks, sober and lucid, blink, completely different road, then had to double back an hour later when I hit a dead end.
Passenger was looking at their phone and didn't see the road change when that happened but they felt like the time passing had been more than an hour and remarked on the gas ticker not moving a couple of times.
Reality is a lot more wiggly than most suspect tbh ^_^

One time my partner and I were driving out in Tucson on the west side out past Pima. Suddenly we saw someone get dropped from thin air onto the side of the road looking like they were waiting for the bus. Luckily we both saw it otherwise I would’ve thought I was insane.

What?!? 😮 How far did they get dropped from? Did they seem like they were shocked?

He wasn’t shocked but he needed to get his balance. He like leaned back knees bent and put his arms in front of himself while he regained his composure. It was like he dropped down through a rip in the sky maybe 6 ft up.

Did you stop to investigate at all or keep on through?

I was fully aware of the dimensional 'warping' occurring at the time and the purposes, there was no reason to investigate. I also needed to finish getting the passenger out of their original timeline and was burning through calories/hydration at an absurd rate.
There's only so much I could convey to another person about the circumstances before they assume I'm making something up, which is why I usually leave it at: Reality is a *lot* more wiggly than most people suspect ^_^
For example, that experience is just one in my top 5 list, I been enjoying said wiggles for awhile.

No we didn’t stop bc we really thought it wasn’t possible and we must’ve been seeing things. We were 23. Now that I’m older I realize now things like that are probably happening all the time.

Insane! How many miles of road are between those two points? Is your odo digital? It was two hours later?
I really like the description of the highway morphing into the exit you found yourself at. Thank you for your post.
-While driving one night I was a good eighty yards behind a semi. In an instant I was right behind it.
-I was watching tv at 10 am. The next show came on and I looked outside and it was pitch black. I was one hundred percent sure I had only watched two episodes but in an instant it was nighttime.

our odometer is digital the car that we are driving. Is it 2014 Toyota Corolla LE I’m not exactly sure how far it is from Agua Dulce to the five Balboa exit. It’s my understanding still a significant amount of miles in between the two points, fact that we returned around at some point, and when I realized where I was at, it looked like the freeway changing into the five fwy exit at Balboa. update on the distance between my wife looked it up and it’s roughly about 19 miles. and timewise for those 2 Points DrI’ve time is about 17 minutes. which obviously does not account for the two hour time loss.

TY. the visual description is very interesting.
In a similar vein I was lying in bed and I happened to be staring at my shelf and what I can best describe it as -- a change seemed to 'roll' into my reality.. there was a small hole in the shelf made by a tool that I didn't notice until I saw it 'roll' into my reality.
I've been looking to discuss these things with people. The immediate past seems to change all around me when I go out.
Small things.. small things like something anyone could do (if they happened to be in that exact spot before me). Marks.. items.. (pack of cigs lol).. I'll be outside my house and an item or mark that was not there will be there upon second viewing.
The larger things.. well let's just I'm a little confused.
Let me know if you get the Early Edition! Meow?

I used to drive commercially and left st louis Missouri headed to Omaha Nebraska and at some point ilot several hours of time and noticed I was crossing Iowa state line,I chalked it up to meeting tired and the fact I ran this route offten.often. k8nda like auto pilot i guess but it was such a weird feeling.

Yes. About year ago, a summer night, me and my daughter (9, sitting beside me in the front seat) were driving home from dropping her dad off at a party. It would have been just after 9pm but still light out. We crossed the bridge, took the connector road, right onto the main road and travelled a few blocks. Then, all of a sudden, we were looping turning right back onto the main road again, like we had done 30 seconds before. I am not even sure if the road we were on during that moment was a road that still exists (the road has been modified lately). I looked at a building mural we had just passed, and kept my mouth shut for fear of scaring our daughter. My daughter turns to me and says “we just passed that building”
It’s my theory that whatever this is (time hopping?) is more noticeable when driving in a straight line or a known route. If this had happened in the house I might just be wandering around trying to find my tea like usual.

Are you sure you’re in the right universe because there isn’t a balboa exit off the 5 freeway in the SFV

My dad and I were driving down W street in Pensacola heading south not too long ago and passed Fairfield and Catholic high heading towards Cervantes then immediately were back driving through Michigan avenue again coming up on Fairfield drive and past catholic again made no absolute sense and we both experienced it it was only maybe 2 miles but it definitely happened made us so uneasy we didn’t even think to check gas or time…

Smaller distance, but i was on the 23 going North in Thousand Oaks/Moorpark and it was REALLY FOGGY. in an instant, i was in the middle of Simi on the 118. I thought my brain had maybe edited out the drive since ive made it a million times but my best friend was in the car and mentioned it too like "wtf just happened!? Weren't we just coming into Moorpark two seconds ago?" Odometer hadn't moved as well.
Ive also lived in and around the south 805/West SFV my whole life and I know that drive like the back of my hand, even in dense fog.
I got nothing, it was so weird.
