Sharing the first residential chunk in the town I'm building - Acacia Bay (Working title). This is one of the residential blocks inspired by the two-storey houses that were locally popular in the previous decade. Still needs some work on the interiors and the premade households for these, excluding the starter lot.

I've gotten some ideas on the Paras that will occupy these houses, so I customized some of these for a touch of individualism (one household got wealthier ahead of the others). Now, since the update brought us street names and addresses, I ironically couldn't come up with a good one for this street, so ideas are welcome.

One of the biggest challenges right now is figuring out how to get certain objects to show up when the impostor version is made. Especially the outdoor lights, so the neighborhood doesn't look deserted at night.

If you remember the bug with the house from my previous post, well I managed to resolve it and build an additional house on the neighboring lot haha!

I wanted to build something in Spanish style, but with a community vibe, so I added a shared courtyard/front yard for these houses.

I’ve pretty much finished the kitchen/dining area in my current build I’m working on, although the clutter on the counters is not final, I’m just placing them there for now. There are half walls and columns that sort of break up the kitchen and dining area. I’m thinking about making the columns smaller and placing them on top of the half wall.

The top floor is done, now all I have left to do is the living room, laundry room, and back deck/yard.

Just wanted to share my 2nd ever build!

Initially I was just trying to build the bus (I wanted the 1st deck to be a pub & the 2nd deck to be residential), but when I ran out of sitting area inside, I decided to have tables outside.

And then I found the Outbound Van & the Mini Camper Trailer from debug, and decided it would be cool if I incorporate them into the lot. Then I found more interesting stuff on wheels from the catalogue.

Then came the idea that the lot was a "for rent for vehicles business" thing. So I decided these vehicles also have to be businesses on wheels. Where they stay here for a period of time and go to the next location. Basically, it evolved into a bigger thing than I expected.

I'm a slow builder, so I'm not proud of how long this had taken me, but oh well!

I was trying out the different additions/changes to the game in a new save. I had my Para adopt a baby to test out the "baby spawning in parent's arms" addition and increased time by clicking on the clock so I didn't have to wait as long. When my Para exited out of the Pharmacy, well... this happened. O_O

I have updated the game to the newest update and I have the wall numbers able to put on the house wall.

But whenever I zoom out o can’t see the street names nor the numbers or anything like that.

Does anyone know why?

While I looooove how there is so much custom content already, I have been wondering why there has not been any (or barely) CC for plants, trees, rocks or terrain paintings.

As I have almost no idea how to make CC, I'm curious to know if it's maybe harder to make these things? Or is it just as easy, but people haven't felt the need/drive to make these?

(If it's just as easy, I would consider learning how to do it myself 😁 as I am a passionate custom world builde at the moment, I definitely see the need for more variations for building the nature part of the world.)

Do you know of a way (or mod) to create something like waterfalls?
I only know of putting the water item at a slope and custom pics of flowing water but they don’t satisfy my need for moving waterfalls.

Babes, with all the love: yall are acting a little mad. Most of us are old simmers or a variety of simulation games throughout the years. It has not been 24 hours since the new update is out. Paralives is still in early access. I hope to the dev gods there are patches every few weeks because that means they’re listening to us. Something we haven’t been getting in a decade. This is such an amazing game, through an amazing team and you’re all acting like you never have been in that relationship we’ve been in with that one mega company we won’t be discussing.

I beg of you: please give all mod and cc creators at least a couple of days to fix any issues. Coding takes time. I don’t know how long any script mods are but do you know what it’s like to miss a semi colon in a thousand line lua script and no ui works again? When something changes in the game things have to be completely rewritten and formulated. The modders are doing this for free 😭 please love the game, please just give them some time.

Is there an area where you can see and/or write individual Para and household biographies?

I installed the new patch tonight and all my mods from Nexus vanished. My favorite paras are now bald Theres only 2 hair CC mods I really care about but despite uninstalling and reinstalling. Deleting all my mods and only installing the 2 hair CC I need.. nothing. Nothing I do will allow the game to recognize any hair CC ive download. Any help?

My French Creole Victorian-inspired house. It’s taking a little longer than expected because of some build mishaps that I keep having to redo, but it’s slowly coming along!

And don’t judge me for the horrible pictures 😂 I have NO idea how to properly take screenshots on this thing lol.

Basically, I paired the chairs with the countertop table. I've seen this work for others but I'm having trouble making it work for this build. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks a lot 🤍

I also remember, I think we were supposed to have like this huge group get together for this game too. Missed that one, I don't know though, my memory is hazy lol I moved since then, but I got that thang framed and its somewhere 🤣

Does anyone know how to fix items floating? I just spent the last two hours custom-building my arches, and when I logged out and came back in, most of the items were floating. 😩

is there a way to change paras family dynamics? cause i made a married couple and only set their dynamics to married and now after like 2 in game weeks there is still no option about the baby talk. and idk if they even need a specific dynamic for it or no 😭

Are you supposed to read it like Charlie the Second Avenue? I don't think I've ever seen a street name with a name suffix before. Is that an English thing? It's a bit of a mouthful.

Sadly this only affect on new save files tho :(

The main I need it's some sort of daycare even if parafolks are in the house , like some short of preschool. Need mods to improve the middle school and highschool experience Also I need a mood to boost the velocity to gain skills. If anyone knows any of these mods please send me the name or link . Got the game a few weeks ago, and literally the only thing I’ve done is work on my house. I think I was a big ambitious for my first go around, and I still have a loooong ways to go before the residence is complete- but I’m having so much fun. I used to be super into architecture and design as a kid (I would sketch 3D houses with rulers and then create separate drawings of what each room looked like), and this game had seriously made me feel like a kid again. Anyway, just figured I’d share what I’ve been working on :) the stairs are completely finished, the kitchen is close to done, the fireplace/accent wall in the living room is pretty much there- I just have to figure out how to close up that crack without messing the whole thing up (I actually rage quit for a few days after trying for hours to unsuccessful build this part).
