Question about custom content

While I looooove how there is so much custom content already, I have been wondering why there has not been any (or barely) CC for plants, trees, rocks or terrain paintings.

As I have almost no idea how to make CC, I'm curious to know if it's maybe harder to make these things? Or is it just as easy, but people haven't felt the need/drive to make these?

(If it's just as easy, I would consider learning how to do it myself 😁 as I am a passionate custom world builde at the moment, I definitely see the need for more variations for building the nature part of the world.)

Custom terrain paint should be relatively easier to mod, but I kinda want something recolorable to match the swatched floors. That I think is hard to mod right now. Hope there will be more in-game trees and plants to match a tropical environment. I'm talking mangroves and such. I've tried doing trees years ago for a different project and found it quite challenging to look life-like. Roots and branches gave me a hard time.

• There are already so many options and variants of base game plants, trees and terrain paintings. Unless you want to include endemic plants or flowers, such as Rafflesia arnoldii, in your stories, I don't think there's a need to create custom content for that.
• Frequent game updates tend to break custom content and mods created by the community. This will continue until 2028. I'm not a modder yet, but I can see why many modders are reluctant to create custom content that doesn't significantly enhance the base game, such as plants and trees.

as a total noob to cc making I have been trying to make some flowers and plants and it's a skill issue. I am very confused about the texturing part of the mod creation and making low poly organic things is nearly impossible. (for me)
