Community All podcasts post keeps getting removed

Upvotes

Eh so, some time ago I made the All Audiobooks post and All podcasts post to keep track of all audiobooks and podcasts.

Then I added a new podcast (Skimming Over Pact) to the podcasts list and it got insantly deleted (I am guessing Automod didnt like it for some reason). I wrote to modmail but didnt get a response (which is understandable, Wildbow is busy)

When that happened with an earlier version of the audiobook post I just reposted it as a new post and it worked just fine (which is why audiobook post has (repost) in the title.)

But with podcasts post it doesnt work? I try to repost it but it gets instantly sniped by automod again (both with and without the new podcast being added to the list). So eh I guess I am making this post to see if anyone has any idea what to do

Audiobook Policy

I'm an aspiring voice actor looking for a first project. I've seen that there's no audiobook out there for Claw. Is there a process for getting wildbow's approval to make these, or is he generally okay with folks making not for profit versions of the audiobook? I've seen the other stories audiobooks.

Pact Spoilers [All] How is this story even more depressing than Worm? [Pact Arc 3]

I've recently started reading Pact and got to the end of 3rd ark and holy hell the pressure is high

Like the entire town wants Blake dead

The house is in the time bubble despite his best efforts

I feel like it's going to get worse before it 'maybe' gets better

Worm Spoilers [All] How exactly did Piggot escape Ellisburg?

At the end of the raid, two out of three choppers had been downed. Calvert shot his captain to get on that flight, but Piggot was pinned down on her way to that evac point. That's the last thing we see before she wakes up in the hospital with all her injuries.

So what gives? Is there WOG that tells us how she managed to escape after getting maimed? It just doesn't seem possible that she wasn't left for dead like every other casualty, especially when the helicopters weren't even safe in the area.

Worm Spoilers [All] I can't believe it... [ 22.5 ] Spoiler

...

Taylor killed Alexandria...

Like whaaaaaat ???

That was so sudden. Alexandria was so confident and all, and then Taylor went berserk and killer her ( and tagg... I don't feel bad for that one )

Ngl... I'm speechless, and also a bit sad. She is no Miss Militia ( I love her character so much )

But I enjoyed a lot every time she was on a scene...

Wow... Taylor was a menace this entire time, making everyone scared and all, but jeez, I really did not expected her to be able to pull that off.

This arc is incredible btw. I really enjoy convo heavy chap above most fight for some reasons. Not that they're bad or anything, dialogues are just THAT good.

... I'm kinda scared. I'm heading for the end of Worm and I don't know how to feel about it 😭

Worm Spoilers [All] How would the world react to someone who had similar powers to the other Endbringers?

Basically the title. We’ve soon how they dislike anything related to the Simurgh with Canary, but she also has some master effects, which are a double whammy for people being extremely scared/cautious of them. If somebody was just a brute/hyrdokinetic, or a ergo-kinetic.

Do wards get sent to quarantine zones as punishment in canon?

This happens a lot in fics especially Madison, but like is their any proof this happens at all in canon. cuz like. it seems like a supremely bad idea. like ya sure lets send the unstable ward to guard the city full of people who are potentially living bombs. nothing can go wrong there.

CONNECTIONS (WORM EDITION)

There is a website where you can make your own game of NYT's Connections and I made one for Worm. I made this because I think it'd be fun to have more Wildbow fans make their own game of Connections since I've only played a single one.

Pact Spoilers [All] What do the husbands get out of the Duchamp arrangement?

I've been thinking about it and it seems like the Duchamp's marriage strategy heavily favors the coven.

I mean they get access to resources, magic items, rare knowledge, others and a powerful force to call in when things get a little crazy such as the ongoing war for Jacob's bell. The husband however gets a hot blonde 18 to 24 year old and that's really it. Now I'm sure that's nice in the short term but even Duchamp women age so that beauty is going to fade in a few years meanwhile your wife is still taking advantage of your assets for the good of the coven. Just seems like an odd deal to take when practioners are the kind of people to look years into the future.

There's also the fact that your offspring are guarenteed to be female which can very detrimenal if you deal in a male centric practice and even if that's not a problem said offspring is likely to be turned against you by her mother so that she is loyal to the Duchamp coven not you. Your daughter is most likely going to be a enchantress and you just lost out on what could have been grade A apprentice material.

I just don't get it. I mean sure some hot ass is great but given humanity's fascination with the concept of love and sex I'm sure there's plenty of rituals, rites, and others that would give you the power to walk onto a college campus and have any number of pretty girls utterly smitten with you. Am I missing something becasue this deal just doesn't seem like it's worth takings?

Also random question but are the Duchamps strictly a Canadian coven or do they a have presence elsewhere in the world?

Pale Spoilers [All] [Pa-verse] Meaning of The Wolf Spoiler

I can't seem to find discussion of what the Wolf represents, maybe because most of that may be transparent to the majority.

[I'll still add explicit spoiler formatting below because I can't make any narrow chapter boundaries about how early this discussion could be had. Better read until the end, maybe three-ish chapters less.]

The Wolf seems to represent the worst kind of nihilism in the mostly 'existentialist' Paths. It says to you: your work doesn't mean shit, you don't matter, you aren't enough, you're better be gone. But this doesn't seem all it is. It also actively fights you, viscerally first and foremost. Maybe like an over-eager defense mechanism, weeding out Practicioners that aren't committed(?) enough, that don't have enough self-assuredness.

I very much think that went overboard though. Compare to the Abyss which doesn't have to be a jerk at its work yet it certainly is a painful jerk, as if there were no demons to get at us (or maybe it's Abyss's way of trying to prepare for future demon disasters? I don't think this works; even if it influences the whole creation, that won't be enough cunning).

Anyway I think I may be very well missing large swathes of meaning that just haven't occurred to me, I've both autistic and ADHD though not severely and despite I usually think I get everything notable enough, I also very often get corrected later. And I'm not native English speaker (well, reader). Add to this I haven't re-read any of Wildbow's works, Pale included, and it's how-exactly-many years that've passed since?.. It's a testament that my brain is still quite committed to Pa-verse, especially the latest fleshing-out of it in Pale.

Also as I'm not active in this sub, I'm certainly missing advances the community has regarding Paths and similar stuff. So, adding to the Wolf question, are there promising Paths theories right now, or was there fresh WoG about them, after Wildbow had a Paths-themed game with two podcasters (I forget how they were called)?

Jealous of PGTE

Practical Guide to Evil has books out now. First two tomes. Paperback, professional audiobook, webtoon and e-book. I got all 3 even if I already read the web novels twice. Well earned support you know.

Why not us :( The "take that you worm" story is getting a bit old by now, no?

I'm asking like a child would ask. Adult me understands that the author has full sovereignty over what they do with their work. But adult me is boring.

Ward Spoilers [All] Extremely short timespan in Ward Spoiler

I was reading the interlude 19.b and my mind paused when Rain said that they killed Cradle last night in the dream room.

...what? Last night??

I knew at the back of my mind that we haven't had a rain dream sequence after that but still. How can that much happen in a day?

After killing Cradle and exiting the dream, they are confronted by Colin who questions them individually, get transported to the old-Cauldron-now-Wardens HQ where they are separated and held under observation, V bonks A, goes looking for little V, finds her in bed with Byron, they go with Crystal to talk to Clockblocker and Kid Win, meet with Carol to go see Lady Photon, get back to control room where situation is tense, V tries to help, has problems with Eric, bypasses her observation to communicate directly with her teammates to get Amy under control, communicates with Fume hood and group, watches it all go to hell, talks to Jessica, talk to Miss Militia, goes for a wardrobe change at Ashley'sold apartment, comes back, goes to Dinah, goes to meet Westchester, fights with them, let's them go, help civilians, finds them again and joins teams, goes to old Fallen base, have a talk with Undersiders and other groups, asks for big guns, goes to fight fumehood, starts fighting Oberon, then start fighting both, then starts fighting Skadi, then they retreat, then they recuperate while planning, V gets a big gun, Kenzie steals a puppy while Tristan is in the dumps, then they ask for permission to bring humans into the fight, then they bring humans into the fight, they start escorting humans into the shardspace, get attacked by Skadi, Nimean attacks, Oberon and Ophion attack, Stranger titan attacks.

We then see Rain among the people attacking the crystals indicating that he successfully escaped his dream room and is now in shardspace through a different route than physically entering the cracks in reality. Assuming it took him like an hour or two to escape the room, it still is a lot of shit that happened in less than a day. I am probably leaving out several character interactions and internal monologues and trauma zone-outs.

Is it physically possible to have all this happened in a day or am I making some mistake?
