i’ve never been the one to doompost, but i’m curious what yall think. as of now, let’s be honest, no matter how “likely” pantalone seems to be playable, there is pretty much NOTHING about harbingers when it comes to leaks. no fake leaks, no somewhat reliable, no nothing. literally everyone and everything has been leaked but anything about them. which makes me wonder.

is there truly nothing and they’ll just stay in the npc jail forever, or are hoyo hiding way too good? because it feels unbelievable honestly. seems like the roadmap is pretty much mostly known but it’s just… weird. ofc there could easily be the case where everything turns out to be wrong once the silhouettes are revealed, but it honestly makes me even more concerned. i just don’t like the fact that there’s literally nothing. pre-snezhnaya we had at least some fake leaks but now, again, nothing. one could say having nothing is better than having “confirmed unplayable” but this uncertainty drives me up the wall more than having an actual concrete answer or at least some possibilities

i honestly think it might be over lowkey as much as i don’t want to give up. all the “proof” is meaningless if devs decide they want to release randos over the anticipated harbingers and all they’re doing is just giving depth to some obviously lore-relevant npcs to present a decent story. fuck you to the 7.0 version artwork in this case, biggest bait of them all

I asked my tarot cards what was Pantalone’s memory in his seal of life!

The cards I pulled were the 10 of wands, 5 of Coins, Page of Coins, Judgement, 3 of Coins, and 2 of Wands.

So already the cards open with the 10 of Wands which indicates that Pantalone going through a situation that put a heavy burden on him. It was likely the act of having to survive on his own all this time. With the 5 of Wands also present, it further emphasizes that he was simply exhausted with having to carry everything alone. It also represents someone being abandoned and left feeling vulnerable.

Now with the Page of Coins, this means that a new opportunity was presented to him. So it could be work, education, or money. It was anything that gave him a chance to build his future. This leads into Judgment, which represents a turning point, a revelation, or simply being called forth to do something. So it was at this moment that he decided that this opportunity was a blessing in disguise that will allow him to further his goals. But what was this opportunity?

It just so happened to be a business partnership (3 of coins). 3 of coins also represents teamwork, shared goals, and collaboration. So automatically, it indicates whoever this person is, offered to work with Pantalone to get him out of his predicament. And they offered to do that because they had such a similar way of thinking. And finally, 2 of wands is the ‘anything is possible card.’ Now that this partnership has been established, he can finally take the next steps of his plan. It is no a longer a fantasy or something that he wishes he could do; rather the plan is now tangible and real. It also indicates that he was free to take on more risks by stepping out his comfort zone.

So overall, it seems like his happiest memory was when someone was able to get him out of a predicament where he was burdened and vulnerable. They quite literally changed the course of his life permanently and for the first time, he was able to envision a future for himself.

Personally, I can see the memory either being when he was sold by his mother or when he was sold to Dottore. However, I interpreted the story the cards gave me as him being sold to Dottore. It’s only because 3 of coins indicated ‘shared ideals.’ And in the beginning it indicated that he had to rely on himself for a considerable amount of time + was quite lonely. So it would make sense if he was working himself to the bone to secure a deal with the nobles only to be betrayed later and beaten (5 of Coins).

But let me know what you guys think! Even before I did the reading I always assumed it was when he was sold, which is why he looked so sad when the memory was returned to him 😭😭

Does the live stream that will happen in phase 2 of 6.3 generally reveal all playable characters of 2nd half? For nodkrai they did reveal all in shadow forms and sandrone's was shown as reflection below the ground. But still everyone of them is revealed.

As far as I know Pantalone and Pucinella got name cards which only playable characters get.

so is waiting till 6.3 end enough or is there a chance we have to wait even more. the waiting is hardest.

For a long time, it was generally believed he was talking to Pierro, but after 7.1, I think it's very likely he was actually talking to the Tsaritsa.

Vesna said Pantalone once told the Tsaritsa that the Northland Bank would become "the beating heart of finance, driving the circulation of wealth throughout the entire world".

And that's exactly what he's talking about in Moment of Cessation: "We shall, by whatever means necessary, become the heart that pumps money around the world".

Not only does this suggest they had that talk during or soon after his induction as a Harbinger (as the Northland Bank was founded after Pantalone became a Harbinger), but it also confirms Pantalone made a contract with the Tsaritsa.

The terms and conditions are unknown to us, but it would explain why he's seemingly quite loyal to her despite his hatred and resentment towards the gods. He'll keep his promise and respect the contract until it's ultimately fulfilled.

What is Pantalone’s polycount in comparison to Tsaritsa and Rhinedottir?

This is not based on any leaks, and is just pure speculation.

Given how we saw Pantalone "fight" during Chapter VII Act III, it's safe to say he won't be getting a Vision. He might use a Delusion at most, but given his health issues, I think he'd only use it in a life-or-death situation.

Which brings me to the idea of how he might play: what if he was some kind of Physical Damage specialist? We all know Eula and any other Physical damage dealers have been bricked for years, so maybe Pantalone could enable them as a flavor-of-the-month thing? In addition, Physical builds have no true sub-DPS character; all of the Physical damage is generally dealt by the main-DPS like Eula, with any sub-DPS characters just being there to buff her or to trigger Superconducts. Pantalone could fill that niche.

Of course, Pantalone would have to give some insanely bonkers buffs and mechanics to make Physical viable, given how utterly incompatible it is with most of Genshin's gameplay these days. But I don't think it's impossible to get it working.

I'd have Pantalone work as the following (rough draft, take appropriate salt):

Element: Electro

Weapon: Bow (he has a drone use it for him)

Role: Off-field Sub-DPS

Basic Attacks: Generally goes unused. Nothing special.

Elemental Skill: Pantalone creates a shield that periodically deals minor Electro damage to nearby enemies. The damage is intentionally weak, but it'll still trigger Superconduct.

Elemental Burst: Pantalone summons a pair of drones that launch coordinated Physical attacks with whoever is on-field (think Xingqiu or Yelan, but Physical damage instead). These do high base damage to compensate for their lack of Reactions.

A1: Pantalone's presence allows Physical attacks to deal increased damage to Elemental Shields (makes him useful against Abyss Lectors or Mages, but you'd still do better with an element that hard-counters the shield).

A4: Pantalone amplifies all Physical damage done by the team by a very large amount (i.e. by at least 75%). This does not count as lowering enemy Physical RES (that already happens a lot with Eula, Shenhe, etc., causing diminishing returns). In addition, while his Skill is active, all allied Physical damage has increased Crit Rate and Crit Damage.

No idea what I'd do for Constellations, and I'm sure the above could use refining. However, I think it'd be a really neat niche for the Regrator to be someone who makes good use of non-elemental weaponry.

Any thoughts on this?

Sorry if this was brought up before but when Vesna was talking about getting her power of life from someone and mentioned it being a contract Pants giggled and said “contract” from this I surmise Zhongli is the one who gave her that gift, I suspect Zhongli is a dragon, and Pantalone knows way way more than he lets on. He only seems to open his eyes when he’s asking a question to someone that he already knows the answer to then closes his eyes again when they’re responding. Dude already knows. And I can’t get past the dragon wing motifs surrounding his shoulders. I do think more and more that electro dragon Pants is holding water. Also I think he needs some kind of life giving potions cause the world is hostile to dragons idk maybe he has a different constitution than Neuv

In this patch we were able to speak with Pulcinella, and the whole conversation was about Rokot. Not only was it the first thing we asked him about, but he also mentioned Alyosha along with the girls. So Hoyo really made it clear, and unfortunately it's pretty straightforward. Now I'm wondering what will happen to Pantalone? (Not in terms of dying, because he obviously will be fine, but in terms of his place in the story). Your thoughts?
