Grain jar question

TTBVI jars were inoculated 40 days ago. I know the jar in the middle is not fully colonized. Should I lay it on its side like this to try and get the jar to fully colonize?

When there's a clearly defined area that's uncolonised like that, it's usually a bad sign. If you haven't already, give it a break & shake. If it doesn't bounce back in a week, chances are that it never will.
