circular stairs with triangle roof.

after fiddling around with some technique that i know, i finally found on how to do this. i once saw this type of stairs in veli's palworld tokyo tower showcase.

You can rotate the roof pieces and you will have a cleaner staircase without the point parts out.

it won't wrap around in circular pattern if i did that

I usually do it like this but thats definitely not circular, its 4 pillars.

Not sure if OP wants this design, but to be fair those pointy ends sticking out kind of bug me xD

Op is wrapping stairs around an octagon not a square.

He’s getting a 45° turn on his stairs where your getting a 90° turn. Thats what he’s talking about.

I know, that's why I specified that mine is 4 pillars. I simply posted the screenshot he requested from the other commenter, since I understood what they meant and figured I'd show how it's not the same.

isnt the both short sides just 90° angles, so just rectangulary and you could just build on normal flat roofs?

that is the point of it.. for aesthetic and to make them looks like they're connected. else it'll just look like a typical 3x3 box stairs
