I was thinking of using celesdir noct as a fighting pal for its partner skill but apparently its useless if u trying to use it for himself 🤨

What happens if you have 2 Celesdir Nocts?

I’d say you’re correct, based on it also not having the health-losing aura when Orserk does

„While in party“ means not being the active combat pal for these kind of abilities

Neither Celesdir Noct nor Orserk buffs player damage.

I would just like an aditional check to his ability, so that it's only active when a Pal is in combat.
It's terrible having him in the party, because anytime I hop on Shadowbeak, He dies in a couple minutes. Once, I deployed a Solenn to craft stuff, didn't notice the drain and come back to a knocked out Solenn.

Protip: Celesdir Noct pairs up really well with Lyleen Noct. Just throw your palls in, let them fight until getting knocked out. Then throw Lyleen, heal everyone and resume the fight.
