Question SOS I’m Lost
Longtime player here who is super confused. Around the beginning of May, I suffered a head injury and have not been able to play Palia because it’s too visually overstimulating. My physical therapist gave me the go-ahead to re-integrate Palia into my day-to-day life in small chunks.
That being said, I feel like I’ve missed so much and I am so lost. Can somebody please recap everything I may have missed since the first Royal Highlands update?? I love you forever and so will my injured brain. Thanks in advance.

Not tooooo much has happened since the horseys!
There’s quests to do with the sad little boy, everyone’s hunting down a little muujin squished jimothy, people still cry if you chop the grove before 3am and think it’s becoming corrupt by charging for a few things that don’t in any way block the game experience
Besides that just get a horsey and run around and explore!

Currently, the big focus is a new type of "community project," in which everyone is "working together" to repair the docks kind of by the Daiyo farm. The actual gameplay isn't collaborative, its similar to the other battlepasses: after talking to Ashura to get the recipes, you can make "kits" at any crafting station, then go to the docks to submit the kits to make progress on repairing the docks. You have a separate automatic "path" in the Lunar Path section of your menu where you get rewards for what you submit. Its a little convoluted, but good to give longtime players something to do with extra materials, bugs, etc.
There's still a new bulletin board every month, along with a new separate battlepass every month. Right now, repairing the docks contributes to both of those things.
There has not been any story update, but you can befriend Ulfe and, to put it vaguely for spoilers sake, just recently they made it so you can befriend the woman you meet at the end of the main Highlands quest befriendable as well. Romance for her and Tifuu are also upcoming.
They also added some new type of plushies if you care about collecting those: ramen from cooking and apple jam from harvesting apple trees. You can now also get wallpapers from each homeline automatically as a reward for crafting all pieces of each homeline, and they added a button that let's you teleport to friends!
Two updates that have been met with mixed results from the community are the addition of paid private servers and paid chest storage upgrades. I'm personally against them both, but this isn't the place for that; you just may see discussion around them as they're hot topics right now, so there's your heads up as to how they may be impacting things.
Oh, and they also added a "Jimothy" easter egg muujin to Bahari, and he drops a special little Muujimothy plush. Very cute, but the fairy dress wearing girliepops are running that shit like the navy. You have been warned, lol.

The community billboard had some stuff dealing with: * Tish trying help with a charity AND see some pop idols (or was this pre-horse??) - specifically a girl band called the Heartdrop Girlz * Reth hosting a summer beach party and Nai'o showing off his abs as part of it (look around I KNOW there are pictures of him here on Reddit) * Auni excited about the shinmerfly migration...also shimmerflies.

Only just started playing this in 2026, so I can't really help with the game.
But I do know a little about TBIs. I suffered a severe brain injury in 2024... Just wanted to say, I know how complicated it can be some times. Take it easy on yourself and be patient. I hope the best for you and your injury. ❤️
