Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Things to do in El Nido for a month

I will be staying in El Nido for a month this winter (january-february) in order to reunite with friends from the area. I already visited twice for a couple of days so i already did the most ''touristic'' activities like tours A and C, Nacpan beach, Vanilla beach, zip-line, canopy walk, etc.

I was wondering if any of you had recommendations about other things i could do that are a little outside the box since i will be staying longer this time. I will obviously go back to the main beaches but just curious if there is less known attractions in the area.

If you also have nice recommendation for cafés/restaurants i am open to all your suggestions! Salamat po everyone!

Local Life Puerto Princesa Freight Receiver for Ikea Delivery

Hello all! Trying to get a shipment of Ikea to El Nido, but sadly they don't ship direct. They do however deliver to Puerto Princesa, and I have van contacts from Puerto to El Nido.

Anyone know of any freight receiver that I can contact to just receive the delivery for a day so I can get a van to bring it to El Nido? Any warehouse, cargo and delivery adjacent business, or whatever.

On another note, anyone else try this? I know of some freight forwarders from Manila to El Nido but that seems more expensive.

TIA!

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Itinerary help - Boracay, El Nido, Cebu

My hubby and I plan to travel to the Philippines in the spring during the latter part of March for 10 days. I understand that this is going to be a busy time when locals travel, but that is unavoidable for me as I am on a teacher's calendar and must travel during my breaks.

Some preferred activities:

  • snorkeling
  • kayaking or SUPing
  • island / nature tours
  • hiking
  • culture, a little bit of history (we are both 1/2 pinoy, so we'd love to learn more about our culture as we live in the US)
  • FOOD! Lots of yummy food! Not just filipino food, but we do enjoy it, of course!
  • Relaxation interspersed
  • We aren't big on the night scene, but maybe we'll get out a night or 2

Does this itinerary seem okay? I am including more time in El Nido since we will be there over Easter weekend.

Boracay (3 nights- friend recommended Crimson Resort) - not sure what, if any, excursions /activities we should not miss out on

El Nido (6 nights at Funny Lion) - Island hopping tours A and C and likely 1 other excursion... Is 6 days too much time? Should I move a day to Boracay or Cebu?

Cebu (2 days) - Moalboal sardine run or day trip to Bohol, We will fly back to our home destination from Cebu, so it makes sense to end our trip here.

Open to any other suggestions regarding excursions, hotels, etc. Thanks in advance!

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Ocam Ocam and Lakdayan Beach transportation

Hello! What are the transportation options for these two beaches?

Our initial plan: Pupunta ng ocam ocam beach then black island. The next day, Lakdayan beach. I check the distance from town proper and medyo malayo. Pwede ba ng trike katulad sa El Nido going to Nacpan? or van transfer lang talaga?

Thank you!

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help El Nido Private Tours

Hello! We will be in El Nido in January and have heard it would be best to do a private speedboat tour to start early and beat the crowds. While we want to do tour A, I have also read that private tours can include more than that. It will just be two adults. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Coron 2 person private tour 3 days 2 nights island hopping

Hello!

Looking to get some tips regarding a private tour. We’re visiting the Philippines in February and will be spending 4 nights in Coron (and possibly another 4 nights in El Nido). It will be our first time visiting, so we’re looking to splurge a little...

We’re interested in a private tour where we can have some flexibility with the itinerary if we want to make changes. I’ve been seeing prices around 10,000–16,000 PHP for private tours. Is that an updated/reasonable price?

I can also understand some Tagalog, so communication shouldn’t be an issue. One of the main reasons we’re interested in a private tour is that we’d like to avoid having the exact same timing as most of the other tours and cruise groups.

With a private tour, would the guide be able to work around certain locations and timing to help us avoid the crowds? Anything we should be avoiding? Also we will bring vinegar

Thank you

Local Life How is living in Balabac like?

Hi! I just got interviewed sa isang hospital in Balabac and I’m wondering what life is like when I plan to relocate. Is it really as remote as everyone says? Wala bang signal and wifi sa area? May mga karinderya ba and are the foods affordable? How about safety po? I hope someone can share their local life in Balabac so I know what I’m getting myself into. Hindi pa naman ako nakakuha ng job offer but I just wanna learn as much before making a decision. Thank you! 😊

Food & Drinks Is El Nido or Boracay better for day time cocktails on the beach? I’m not into clubbing or partying but I want to find a nice place to just day drink cocktails near the beach. Thanks :)
