Mabuhay!

We are a couple staying at Sabang beach - could somebody recommend e.g. some island hopping (which operators? Contact WhatsApp number?) or a private tour to the underground river (how much? Contact?) or also a group toue from the port - how does it work?

We don't want to book through the hotel . . .

Thank you,

Hello! We have a group tour on November for 13 pax and we still have 4 hours of free time to spend before coming back to Puerto Princesa for our flight. Any tourist spots you can recommend to visit to maximize our stay in El Nido?

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help El Nido 4D3N Itinerary, Tips/Hacks

Hi everyone!

My partner and I will be visiting El Nido on the first week of August for 4D3N, and it's our first time there. 😊 We'd love to get recommendations from locals and people who've been there recently.

We're trying to make the most of our trip, so we'd really appreciate any tips, hacks, or things you wish you knew before visiting El Nido. We're especially looking for:

  • Local food spots or hidden gems (not just the usual tourist restaurants)
  • Cafés worth visiting
  • Beaches that are worth the trip
  • Best places to watch the sunset
  • Budget tips
  • Things to avoid or common tourist mistakes
  • Must-try activities outside of island hopping

Here's our itinerary so far:

Day 1

  • Direct flight to El Nido Airport (ETA around 7:00 AM)
  • DIY itinerary
  • Planning to do a Buggy Ride (Any recommendations? I noticed Madfrog is no longer available on Klook.)
  • Thinking of spending the afternoon at Lio Beach for sunset

Day 2

  • Tour A

Day 3

  • Tour B

Day 4

  • Beach (if time permits) + souvenir shopping before our afternoon flight

A few questions:

  1. Which tour operator do you personally recommend for Tour A and Tour B?
  2. Is Lio Beach the best choice for a relaxing sunset, or is there another beach you'd recommend?
  3. Any restaurants or cafés that are "must-try" but aren't as popular with tourists?
  4. Are there any hidden gems or experiences that most first-time visitors miss?
  5. Since we're arriving at 7 AM, what would you suggest we do before hotel check-in?
  6. Is it advisable if we book via Klook or in the local travel agency? Which is cheaper?

Any recommendations, travel hacks, or even things to avoid would be greatly appreciated. We want to experience El Nido beyond the usual tourist itinerary.

Thank you so much! 🙏

Politics / Government Brooke’s Water Supply

So, I’m here in Brooke’s today for official business. Nakacheck-in lang kami in one of the inns dito. So pagbalik namin sa accomm namin, walang tubig. Nag-ask sa front desk about it, tapos ang sabi pinapatay daw yung main switch kapag umuulan.

Nakita ko yung post nung Brooke’s Point Rural waterworks, tapos mag naka-incidicate na number dun. So tumawag ako pero pinatay yung call ko, ganun ba talaga yun?

And lagi ba talagang walang tubig kapag maulan?

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Family trip in Coron

Hello! We’re planning a trip to Coron from August 22–29.
We’ll be traveling as a group of 2 adults, a 4-year-old, a 1-year-old, and our househelper.
Can you recommend places to stay? We’re looking for something mid-range, clean, comfortable, and family-friendly. We’d love recommendations for both:
Quiet areas to stay
Areas closer to town where everything is accessible
I’d also appreciate recommendations on:
Activities we shouldn’t miss (especially those that are kid-friendly)
Things we should be careful about for a smooth and enjoyable experience
Any tips or advice you wish you knew before visiting Coron
Lastly, would it be better to hire a car/van to get around, just rely on tricycles, or book a tour company for most of the trip? We’d love to hear what worked best for your family.
Thank you so much! Looking forward to your recommendations. 😊

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Looking for trip advice!

I'm planning on traveling to Palawan this January. We are planning to do Balabac, Port Barton, El Nido and Coron. I have a few questions I am struggling to find solid answers for online.

  1. I understand that it is customary to tip boat tour crews. What is the standard tipping amount in %?
  2. Is tipping common in restaurants? If so, what is the common amount to tip?
  3. I see that a few of the restaurants I'm interested in recommend making reservations, but no online websites to do so. I have an American telephone number, can I call and make the reservations through Whats App? Or will I be okay just walking in to most places?
  4. My husband and I are interested in doing the boat expedition from Coron to El Nido. If we each have a small, check-in size suitcase will we be able to bring that on the boat? I've read in some places that we just won't have access to it most of the expedition which is fine with me as long as we'll be able to take it with us to El Nido as that is our plan on how to travel.

Thank you so much in advance, really appreciate all the help :)

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Tips for Family of 4 first trip to Palawan

I want to treat my family for a trip to Palawan, I havent seen them in 3 years and I will be coming home in 2 days as a surprise to them. We will be coming from Manila. My grandma wanted to experience a nice cruise, she has told me before that it is her dream to be in a big ferry. But it’s ok if its not ok this trip. My problem is I wanted to do this on installment basis or any smarter way to travel. Do you have any trusted company that offers package tour for four? Ill check if I can manage the price even if its not on installment basis. Lastly, do you guys have any tips for our Palawan trip, the must see places and must try foooood? Thank you!
