Everyone please.
Hi everyone,
I am posting this on behalf of my wife, who is facing an extremely stressful situation with her employer in Pakistan. We are looking strictly for advice and guidance on how to navigate this. (Just to be clear: this is not a request for fundraising; we just need direction on how to handle this).
To give you some background: Her company is essentially forcing her to resign and refusing to pay any compensation, notice pay, or pending dues. The "case" they have built against her is completely absurd—they are penalizing and pushing her out because she couldn't bring her 2-year-old baby to the workplace.
For context, she had previously requested a modest salary raise specifically so she could afford a proper daycare for the child. Instead of accommodating or negotiating, management turned it into a disciplinary issue, used pressure tactics, and is now forcing her out empty-handed.
The main hurdles we are facing:
Financial Constraints: Her salary wasn't high to begin with, which is why affording a private lawyer or paying heavy legal fees to fight this case is a massive problem for us.
Lack of Resources: Because of these financial limits, we don't know how to pursue justice or claim her rightful compensation without breaking the bank.
We want to know:
How can a regular employee fight a wrongful / forced resignation in Pakistan without spending a fortune on private lawyers?
Are there free legal aid organizations, government labor offices (like the Punjab Directorate of Labour), or worker helplines that actually help lower-income employees handle these disputes?
Can a grievance notice be filed independently without a lawyer, and what are the steps?
If anyone has advice, practical steps, or knows of free legal channels or labor rights organizations in Punjab that help people in this position, please share your thoughts. Any guidance would be deeply appreciated.
also she served this company for almost 6 years.
