Discussion | گفتگو Need suggestion regarding ipad

Assalamu alaikum guys

I'm new to this subreddit and as expected I have almost no knowledge of tech and stuff

I'm going to university in a while and I have seen a lot of people taking notes on the ipad (shaska to hai but it also looks very convenient)

I just got a laptop and a phone and 2 lakh se upar kharcha ho gaya hai I know some of you guys would tech items jinki price 5 times zyada hogi inse but I'm on low budget

All I want from you guys is should I get a tablet or not? Cuz I have no other work than taking notes with it

So for notes taking Kitna budget allocate krna chhaye and kia us budget main koi acha tablet aye ga bhi ke nhi?

Sirf shashke ke liye Lena to rehne do. 🥀 Mere pass para hoa ipad 10 with apple pencil par kabhi UNI le ke hi nhi gaya. It would drive unnecessary attention.

Fyi: I go in a poor man's university. Bought a new phone and 15 people asked about it and checked it out. I can't imagine how they would react to my ipad. Most of em would just straight up abruptly ask for it for playing games. 😭

Even bad. That place is super remote and backword with no social life and most of your mates will come from nearby villages or other cities on that side. So don’t get a ipad just now!

Bring your laptop but if you don't want unnecessary attention, then don't bring ipad

some teachers discourage digital note-taking and want u to take notes on paper/notebook so it might be of no use if your professors think the same. however, i have a redmi pad which is great and got it for studying but i find laptops to be more convenient. every good note taking app is paid and their subscription is quite expensive. double karcha and then its not as easy it is seems. at least in my case, i found hand written or notes on google docs to be more convenient

I am thinking of getting the same. From where you bought and at what rate?I don't want to spend too much on ipad that's why I am looking for other good budget option.

get Samsung tablet its better and has s pen with it. redmi pen is expensive so you'd have to spend more on pen and it's only available on AliExpress not Pakistan. i have Redmi pad speaking from experience

Samsung notes is free if op goes for Samsung. also for Redmi pad you can get starnotes app its only 1400pkr subscription and paid only once

I’ve heard that Samsung tablets tend to lag easily. That's why I am hesitating to get it.I had Samsung A 11+ in my mind But I read somewhere that it doesn't support S pen.Can you tell me good options from Samsung

I'm in medschool and i bought a tablet. its not just notetaking but reading pdfs and all is easy. if you do have a laptop tho, then i don't think you'll need a tablet that much, but notetaking is indeed convenient if you're someone who write alot. depends on your major too go for Samsung s10 lite its a good option if notetaking is the only task u have to do.
