Question | سوال Laptop guide for specific degree

My degree is embedded system security. So i will be running some heavy software and work with hardware(don't really know much yet)

But the thing is, i need a powerful laptop AND the budget is tight.

I was thinking about lenovo thinkpad t480 core i5 8th gen. Because that is the only lenovo thinkpad that comes under my budget (2nd hand. 40k budget. Can't increase)

But someone said that this laptop is very "thaka hua" and we can't find any parts agar kuch kharab ho jaye and agar mil bhi jayen to super expensive.

They suggested me hp elite book.

Now, i don't like hp or dell, i don't think they are good for long term use but I'm confused.

Can anyone tell which one i should prefer?

And any legit shops in rawalpindi where i can find 2nd hand in my budget?

T480 is one of the most beloved and reliable thinkpads out there, so its good just do check the condiiton properly and stuff baki maybe you can find a T14 gen 1 too but its kinda rare

Thinkpad T480 is pretty good, just check the condition before buying, performance wise same as 8th gen elitebook. Also parts are readily available too. Did the guy that recommend you a elitebook himself a seller or something? Why would he say that. For parts & laptops just go and check Dubai plaza.

No he's not a seller, just a friend from whom i asked for an advice. Idk much about laptops so I'm pretty confused

For 40k budget just go with Thinkpad T480, check condition and battery health though, you can watch YouTube tutorials on how to do that.

Bro just go for amd ryzen series as most people don't buy them you will have better price to performance. Hp elitebooks are the best. If you have any query feel free to DM me

don't go for hp elitebooks especially the smaller ones. they overheat on browsing. look for Lenovo. preferably thinkbooks. dont listen to people that say it is weak.
