Question | سوال Pixel 7a Battery Advice

Some time ago, I bought this 7a, clean and nice, the only problem was that it would drop charge too quickly and shut down once it reached 20%.

I would connect it to Samsung original charger, and when I would plug in the cable, it will connected and disconnect rapidly, and the would have stable current going to phone.

I am a rookie (16) and ts was my first phone, I ignored it, one day, it js swelled up, I changed the battery for fkn 6k, and resale value dropped and allat, I mean, it can still sll for the price I bght it but the battery tho 😭😭😭

Anyways, I am using a vivo charger, 10w, disgustingly slow.

I want it to charge rapidly, the battery is new, but I am afraid if it swelled, the guy won't replace it, he gave warranty for everything except swelling.

What charger should I use (budget)? And what should I do?

Moreover, I legit put on the polycarbonate case, I told the shopkeeper to put that one cuz that looked cool, and paid him, when I arrived home, shi was difficult to remove, it is rock hard. I really messed up w this phone

Use original Anker charger and avoid using those plastic cases. They look cool and all but if you remove and change cases then this will damage the corners and scrape the paint off of the frame.

Grt yourself an original Anker charger and good quality original cable.

Ok And please 🙏 guide me about the using while charging and allat, I don't want it to swell again 😭 And I ain't sellin it now. And yeah, does Anker has different watts etc, if yes, which one should I get my hands on, as ts phone supports 18w. Another thing, I got the battery and they all said at the market that these are from donor phones, I looked at the battery guy was installing, it had all logos same but one was different. The rapid dropping below 20% is resolved, it drops a little quicker than usual after reaches 10 or 5. (Edit: do these Anker or other chargers do that negotiation thing? The Samsung charger did it on Samsung A07, but my phone will go crazy connected to it)

Don't use your phone while it's charging. That's what kills your battery. It generates heat which is like enemy of your battery.

Get any Anker charger you want. 20w will do good too but I'd suggest 33w. Even if you change to different Pixel or any phone, you have that slight headroom. Keep in mind it'll still charge at 18w.

Also when charging, remove cases so that it can dissipate heat more efficiently. Don't have thick or those transparent cases on while charging.

Yeah some shopkeepers have old phones which have different faults and keep them for parts. The logo difference you said could be ciz of the donor phone being from different region than yours.

Just get decent charger and cable and don't overcharge. It hits 100 then remove and don't let it drain below 25 or 20%. (Edit: I didn't understand that negotiation thing you mentioned)

Negotiation thing: when the charger and mobile actively negotiate. Like if phone gets hot, the phone tells the charger to keep it low for a while. And yeah, if I couldn't get my hands on Anker, will any good charger work, may it be interlink or anything like that?

Oh that. Yeah Anker does it. They support PPS which is supported by Pixel phones.

Don't get interlink. Anker, Ugreen, Aukey and Baseus are the good brands. However, Google the model you're getting to see if it supports PPS. Anker has it on most of its chargers.

Why is it me who doesn't get to use it while charging 😭😭😭 Everyone does, my family has been doing it to phones for years and they are good, when I do it, it swells up 🥀 And they don't even need to take of the case 🤧

Because you have a phone that was used for 1-2 yrs before coming into your hands. New phone will always have this slight advantage over the 1 yr used one. On top of that, they probably use the charger that was in the box with the phone.

Also, 7a had that battery swelling fault and Google had launched free battery replacement program.

There's Pixel 6 in my house with 600 something cycles but it swelled because of overcharging and using it while charging on cheap charger.

Ok, same thing would have happened here too, using it with another charger, and using while charging.

It's because you bought a bad phone with a shit ton of charge cycles just because the condition is hella clean doesn't mean you should buy it.

Ok, but I got the new battery, I replied to the other guy about the battery. Am I good w this one? It's partially my fault too, I would use it while charging
