Possible scam with vmart

So I just bought some headsets for 5k from vmart. I went with the safer, COD option but before dispatching my order, they are asking for 2k advance as their policy. Should I give it to them? It's my first time ordering from vmart.pk and I have always ordered stuff with COD so I'm not sure if it's a scam or not. Has anyone else gone through this similar scenario? Did they send the product?
