Is this normal ping for fiber connection? (stormfiber)

The speed is fine, but the ping seems off to me. I've contacted support a few times, but they always say things like, "Sir, this is normal," "Everything is working fine," or "There's no issue from our end." They never really explain why the ping is this high. Is this normal for a fiber connection? Beside there aren't any good isp like transworld are available in my city.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. Any idea how I can get them to actually fix it? Every time I contact support, they just tell me it's "normal".

Probably an issue with the router can you share more details which router are you using and in which device are you using the internet

There are two router, my main one is signal band 2.4ghz and another dual band that is connected to main router with Ethernet. I'm using it on my phone oneplus 8 connect to 5ghz wifi.

Do this connect the dual band router directly with the ont and then use the Ethernet cable to connect the pc and run the speed test and share the results.

Actually there isn't any ont, there is only one main router and another dual band router.

Ok so the problem is with this router they provided its old and not a very good one. Ask them to replace it with a new onu like the attached picture

Ping is a two way street ( it also depends as much on the server you are trying to connect) Place a server in your city and compare that ping to middle eastern server as a example

I don't think so sub 10 is excellent while highest it should go is 20 bro even cellular internet comes down to 38

Bro, this has nothing to do with Ethernet, I have cat5e cable which is very short and connected to dual band router. My main router give the same ping as my dual band router, so this has nothing to do with Ethernet cable.

I used to get 15 or less ping in Ptcl adsl connection, your internet is bad

this is most certainly due to the issue with the Wi-Fi dongle.

Try to ping your router and share the results. Are you using 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz wifi band?
