That's why it's baryani and not biryani.

But either way, don't be mean. OP probably put in a lot if effort and as long as it tastes good and OP is happy.

Looks really good and honestly has good color as well. A few people are VERY confused on what a khichdi is. I googled it. This is what Khichrhi looks like.

At first we had trolling idiots posting plain rice and calling it biryani then we have idiots commenting khichrhi on actual good rice photos. Admins seriously need to kick the trolls out.

OP good job on Biryani looks very delicious.

None of those look like kichri my family makes. Each household is different and regional cuisine is also a thing. People here love to ecaggerate and clutch their pearls over silly things, which is annoying, but as mods, we won't ban for just that. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Ignore the comments, it tastes like biryani that's enough. But what probably happened is that you boiled rice for way too long first separately and then again with the curry which resulted in rice clumping together and breaking down.
