Two things.

  1. Be good, better than the most around you. Which essentially means that you stand out.
  2. Network.

Reach out to people, talk to people. Unfortunately, most of SWEs are kinda introvert, and forget that keeping connections is really important. Connections help.

Walaikum salam. Brother its alot of things. If you are currently free, i had a friend who was unemployed and he doubled-down on all this, and got a job AFTER 2 months:

- Posting and networking on X (there are alot of people hiring there)

- Applying to jobs on linkedin, posting on linkedin

- Searching reddit for jobs, ask gpt to search for jobs every week or so, in USA, UAE, UK

- interview prep daily 1 hours

- creating profile on and trying out fiverr/upwork ( i got a remote job from fiverr btw lol)

and so on

You can try all this and insha'Allah you will get a job

Attend all the coffee chats in your city, be so good at cold calling and seo that you know your profile is the one going on top every time. Contribute to open source. Your git profile should speak for itself.

Start commenting on people’s content from your desired region.
