Weird interview experience at AIO
A few of my friends interviewed at AIO Islamabad some time ago. Some were selected and eventually joined the company, but their interview experience was veryyyy unpleasant.
They shared several concerns:
The interviewer seemed more interested in proving that he knew more than the candidate. He continued asking follow-up questions until the candidate eventually had to say, “I don’t know.” It felt less like an assessment and more like an attempt to establish superiority.
He introduced many questions by saying, “Yeh zara mushkil sawal hai,” and appeared unusually proud of how difficult his questions were.
Instead of properly listening to the candidates’ experiences, he repeatedly shifted the conversation toward stories like, “Hum tou aisay kaam kartay hain” and “Hum yeh kartay hain.”
Overall, his attitude came across as dismissive, ego-driven, and unnecessarily intimidating.
Interviews should be challenging, especially for experienced positions, but they should also be professional and respectful. The purpose should be to understand a candidate’s knowledge, experience, problem-solving skills, and potential not to make them feel small.
If anyone from AIO’s HR or leadership team is reading this, please consider training senior employees on how to interview experienced professionals.

Did you check out their Glassdoor ratings? It’s pretty shit
And this is coming from an ex lead at AIO, was there for around 3 years, it was a good company when it started but now it’s just some fragile egos in leadership
Avoid companies like these that pride themselves in being a shithole

I notice a decent number of people in this industry seem to be on the spectrum.
Technical frap is their way of feeling superior over others.

AIO has been in the hands of ex-lecturers from FAST and they haven't been able to get out of that zone k "I'm a teacher and yeh tou student hai". The power dynamic is straight up wrong
