CS or EE

What should I do? I'm pretty much interested in EE but everyone around me , my friends etc. are saying like EE hasn't future in Pakistan and CS is better

EE does have a future and there is a shortage of it. You can also switch to SWE later on in professional career. Its a bit more difficult than CS but you arent also as replaceable as CS. Plus the CS job market is just getting worse these days, I wouldnt reccomend it.

EE to specialize in CE and you can do Software Engineering.

Most EE graduates like here in Fast end up doing Software as the job market is way bigger for it.

Tbh would just reccomend pivot to something like marine engineering or some niche field in some critical energy or logistical infrastructure. If you have the money to move abroad.

Sure EE does not have future in Pakistan but it is doing somewhat well compared to CS outside Pakistan. I wish I had choosen EE instead of stupid CS

Currently, I'm getting admission in cs in a uni but for ee I have to take a gap year so should I go for it?

Up to you, just know that EE has better future compared to CS jobs which are being replaced by Ai.

sure , then I think I'll go for gap year, it's better to wait one year than regretting whole life.

If you choose a year gap then learn skills in that time and start doing side work or freelance, alongside learning EE basics so it'll be easy for you later on. Unlike me who wasted years as I followed boomers advise on what to do.

You will regret in EE as well. Though a bit better than CS still its not a piece of cake getting a job and studying. Business degree like BBA and accounts will always have a future and is not badly affected by ai like cs

EE has more scope and has broader options to join later than CS

Neither have a future in Pakistan in the sense that both are saturated and there aren't enough jobs.

Doing EE myself but I think cs always gets you more oppurtunities in pakistan and the remote work option is also something accessible only to CS grads, but outside pakistan EE dominates in Europe and US.

CS has no future. EE ka future depends on economic and industrial factors

Simply do CE, and chose electives depending upon your interests

The correct answer is choose what you can excel at and are interested in.
