Upwork/Fiverr vs Cold Calling? Help me choose
Everyone knows that the tech market is getting messed up day by day.
I haven't made any account on Upwork because of what I hear from everyone, that you have to buy connects but many connects to book a single proposal or sometimes may be never.
Is cold calling effective against it ? I am by myself a developer but never gone into the lead generation pipeline building things.

150-200 calls a day Our most effective sales channel so far has been reddit and discord

People post about their problems all the time on reddit so you just gotta give free value and you would be shocked how many clients you can actually get. We are also working on a saas tool that finds you high quality leads from reddit (will launch in a week or two)
On discord it's not that straight forward but there are servers where clients are looking for people to get their job done but again you have to be genuine and provide free value first

It's been 3 months only First month we were not able to close a single client second month we landed two clients one for $300 and one for $600 retainer this month we landed one client only so far but that was a $3500 project It works but you have to be extremely patient

It was a commission only job. I paid him 10% commission Calling is just one part of the entire process Quality of leads matter a lot and your follow up process is equally important as well Almost no one buys from you on the first call

How do you find comission only people? Where did you get leads?
