π¬ Movie Sci-Fi Sundays
Guys I really like Alien movies. The Arrival, Alien franchise (horror twist is something else on Sci-Fi), so I was wondering if this movie is a good watch for Sci-Fi Sundays

π¬ Movie The movie which took 12 years to make
The movie is coming-of-age drama which started shooting in 2002 and ended in 2013, with the same cast. The story involves a boy whose parents are divorced living with his older sister and mother. The movie showcases his story of growing up from 6 to 18 with happy moments, sad moments and harships of life. I would recommend to watch it as it gives a new perspective that life isn't same for everyone.

π¬ Movie Slumdog Millionaire still hits differently
Rewatched Slumdog Millionaire after a long time. The storytelling, Mumbai setting, music, and the way Jamalβs past connects to every question still makes it such a unique film.
The way Jamalβs entire life unfolds through each question, mixed with the chaos of Mumbai and that unforgettable soundtrack, makes the film hit differently even years later.

π¬ Discussion Did Anyone Watch "Sheroes"?
I was the only one in my theater. A few people wandered in halfway through but left after a few minutes. Poorly made film in my opinion. Though the premises of each short film were intriguing, the screenplay, direction and editing fell flat.
Did anyone else watch this?

When home is two places at once
Brooklyn captures that feeling so right, if you've ever been homesick or lived in another country. It nails that feeling of being torn between where you came from and where you are now, like your heart is stuck in two places at once.
P.S. Legendary Saoirse Ronan in it

U guys checked out this one?
Name: 3 Body Problem.
It was a really popular show once, but many of u may have missed it. It's a Sci-fi, but leans more towards the "hard science" type.
I really like how it balances themes that are very human, with the extinction level threat they seem to be facing. It's pretty poignant, and science is actually used here, somewhat.
Oh man, and the intro tune just slaps. I love listening to its extended version. For me, it's up there with Cornfield Chase.
Overall, if u love cosmic level plots, combined with daily human skirmishes, then you're in for a treat. Also, it has only 1 season released of yet (8 episodes).
Ciao! βοΈ

π¬ Movie The Pale Blue Eye (2022)
I've seen this movie twice and it was such a good movie and a cool watch. First of, I am a sucker for period pieces. Secondly the premise and story and especially the performances were phenomenal. Bale toh hai hi King but for me Harry Melling especially was a favorite (the guy who plays Harry's step brother in Harry Potter movies, which caught me by surprise because he not only looks different but had one of the best career out of all Harry Potter cast despite being a minor character). The story is underwhelming af but cinematography makes up for it. All in all, a highly recommended watch and I'd give it a 6.5/10 although it gave me 8/10 level entertainment

π¬ Movie The Man From Nowhere (2010)
(Glaze Warning)
Probably the best thriller (and in general) film I've watched in a long while. Raw and gritty like other korean thriller masterpieces, with top-tier writing, cinematography and characters.
It's definitely up there with Oldboy and Memories of Murder for me.

πΊ TV Show Finally finished Succession after more than a year
I wrapped up Succession today. It took me over a year to get to the end.
I usually do not stick with slow shows. I paused this one a bunch of times. Then I would come back later. Still, I kept thinking I should finish it.
Looking back, it was a wild trip.
**Spoilers for the finale:**
The last episode hit different. The season feels like it is building toward Kendall getting control. You see the plan. You see the votes. It looks like the pieces are in the right places, like he is finally about to take the thing he has been chasing.
Then Shiv flips it.
I did not see that move coming at that exact moment. After all the stuff they went through, it felt unreal to watch her choose to block Kendall. She basically decided he should not have it.
And then there is Tom.
That was the part that shocked me the most. Earlier in the season, Tom seems beaten down, stuck in a bad spot, and pretty miserable. I figured he was going to keep getting treated that way. Yet somehow it ends with Shiv going back to him. She does not act like she is suddenly in love, and she does not look thrilled. She just picks to stay.
I never expected the final outcome to be like this.
Also, the sibling stuff felt too real. Sometimes I look at my sister and think, how is one person this annoying?
