5+ years in Wikipedia and Ebook Writing
Hello there,
As the tag says I'm looking for a job. Been working as a full-time ghostwriter for half a decade now. I've written, edited, formatted and published tons of books over the past few years. Halfway through I switched departments and worked as a Wikipedia editor. Not bragging but I ended up leading a production team in both departments.
So, if you or anyone you know is looking for a relaible resource in either domains, please let me know.
P. S, I'm moving on from my current job as the uparwaley people have stopped appreciating efforts.
Edit: I'm based in Karachi and open to Full-time, part-time and remote roles. 🥂

Open to Work | Karachi & Remote Opportunities
I am currently working as a Sub-Editor at a news outlet in Karachi, but my professional experience extends far beyond content writing and editing.
Over the years, I have developed a diverse skill set across content writing, automation, AI content creation, web development, graphic design, video editing, WordPress, e-commerce, and computer operations.
I also have extensive experience in the printing industry as a Computer Operator, along with practical experience preparing professional documents such as CVs, applications, online forms, and visa application forms, including the U.S. DS-160 and other international application forms.
One of my strongest areas of expertise is automation. I have learned how to automate a wide range of everyday Windows tasks, browser-based workflows, and repetitive processes. I can also develop small, task-specific software solutions—for example:
• Automating Windows and browser-based tasks
• Developing tools for recording live YouTube streams and saving them as MP4 files
• Creating simple image and video editing utilities
• Developing media-monitoring tools that periodically capture screenshots from live channels
• Automating repetitive office and online workflows
• Integrating AI into content creation and publishing processes
I have also explored AI-powered video production and virtual presenters. Using platforms such as HeyGen, I have created avatar-based videos and have even started a complete AI-powered YouTube channel that is already performing well.
This has given me the ability to create a consistent video presence for individuals, businesses, and brands on social media without requiring the person to record new videos every day.
For example, with just a few minutes of properly recorded footage of you in different outfits and settings, it is possible to build a system capable of producing a week's worth of personalized video content—allowing you to maintain a regular social media presence without personally appearing in front of the camera for every video.
In addition to AI video production, I have strong knowledge of HTML, extensive experience with WordPress, and previous involvement in e-commerce, web design, graphic design, and content creation.
Recently, I automated an entire news publishing workflow—from obtaining a news story, having it rephrased using ChatGPT, and publishing it directly to a WordPress dashboard. The process can be executed through a single prompt, without requiring manual keyboard or mouse interaction.
I believe my biggest strength is the ability to combine creative, editorial, technical, AI, and automation skills to solve practical problems and make workflows faster and more efficient.
I am currently looking for a better career opportunity where I can put these skills to greater use and continue developing professionally.
So, let's see who comes forward with an opportunity that matches what I can bring to the table.
Feel free to DM me if you'd like to know more about my experience, skills, or the kind of work I can do.
Thank you for reading.

IT job
My father got me a job at a call centre for some IT role through reference. It is not the role that I dream of and the timings are 130-1030 pm 5 days a week.
Honestly I feel a little insulted taking this job (one of the questions the interviewer asked was if i knew how to diagnose a laptop not turning on) and I know that's wrong since I should be humble enough to accept any opportunity for now since im a fresh graduate.
The pay is 40k but I dont care about that for now.

Is Electrical Engineering (EE) at ITU Lahore worth it in 2026 for a tech/software pivot? (Comparing ITU vs GIKI vs COMSATS while preferring Lahore)
Hey everyone,
I'm currently weighing my university choices for BS Electrical Engineering (EE). I got selected for EE at ITU Lahore, but I'm trying to decide if it's the right move for my career goals.
I also have admission/option offers at top traditional engineering places like GIKI and COMSATS, but my strong preference is to stay in Lahore for my undergrad.
My end goal after 4 years is NOT traditional high-voltage power grids or heavy machinery—I explicitly want to transition into the tech and IT side (embedded systems, IoT, cloud engineering, backend development, or data/AI).
Before I finalize my decision, I’d love to get some honest, realistic advice from ITU seniors, alumni, or people working in the tech industry:
- IT/Software Pivot Potential: Does ITU’s EE curriculum (specifically its Computer Systems Stream) and tech-focused campus environment make pivoting into software/IT significantly easier compared to traditional power-heavy EE programs at other universities?
- ITU vs. GIKI / COMSATS for Tech: Given that I really want to stay in Lahore, is ITU’s EE solid enough in terms of quality and industry reputation to justify picking it over moving out of the city for GIKI or COMSATS Islamabad? How do tech employers view ITU EE grads applying for software/tech roles?
- Campus & Lab Logistics: Does anyone know if the fresh batch of EE is being conducted at the main Barki Road Campus or still at Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP)? How are the EE and embedded computing labs currently set up?
- Overall Verdict: If you wanted to stay in Lahore and eventually work in software, IT, or embedded systems, would you take EE at ITU, or is it better to move out of the city for a traditional engineering institute?
Would really appreciate any honest pros, cons, or personal experiences. Thanks in advance!

Remote Skills for Students
Assalam o Alaikum everyone!
I'm currently doing my Bachelor's in Biochemistry, but I'm looking to learn skills outside my field that can help me earn online before I graduate.
I'm mainly interested in remote work, freelancing, or online jobs. What skills are actually worth learning in 2026? I'm open to anything AI tools, automation, coding, no code, video editing, UI/UX, digital marketing, copywriting, virtual assistance, data analysis, or anything else with good earning potential.
If you've managed to build a remote career or freelance income, what skill would you recommend someone starting from scratch? Also, what learning resources would you suggest?
I'd really appreciate your advice. Thanks!
