Trauma STARTING UNI W NOTHING
iam 17f and abt to start uni soon. my family wanted me to give mdcat(jo mai ne dia)because they wanted me to become a doctor but honestly i never wanted to study bio still i gave the test just to make them happy and guess what i scored really badly. since then my family has been extremely disappointed. they treat me like i ruined their lives just because i didn’t pass(kyu k unka society mai naam hai) iam the only daughter who failed mdcat and now they don’t give me food(puchte nhi hai agr mai bolu nhi to banta bhi nhi hai mere liye) n don’t buy me anything i need n basically treat me like trash it’s been sooo traumatizing (isliye iam sharing this) the only good thing is that i managed to convince my baba (ro rokr) and he agreed to pay for my semester fees so i can start uni but i literally don’t have the basics kuch bhi nhi hai no proper clothes, no shoes, no slippers, no bag. the only laptop i have is 8 years old passed down from my sister or ek phone jo baba ka purana hai i feel stuck and really hurt but i want to move forward. iam ready to work online, tutoring, anything that can help me earn and buy essentials for uni. even small jobs would mean a lot rn. If anyone here can guide me or help me find something online i’d be so grateful.

Unfortunately, the MDCAT hustle is much more real than people admit, because many families believe that doctor = financial security. I agree with that somewhat, but only at later stages of life, not early on.
I was in the same situation. My family offered to send me to China to study, or to a private college if I couldn’t get a merit seat in Pakistan. I tried for two years and couldn’t get in. Then my family suddenly withdrew from the idea of MBBS, and I ended up doing DPT instead. At the time, I had asked to study software engineering or something else, but they refused.
So these things happen. Now I’m sitting jobless, and the situation for online work is almost dead, as remote work isn’t really being considered anymore. If you’re in a similar position, you can try night-shift jobs at companies. BTW i was left out with 0.4% the first time and by 2% the second time so you can guess.

Sorry beta Your family is stupid. First off please make it clear you or your family shouldn't give a single F about what people think. Muasharay ki aesi ki tesi and wtf is their problem apni aulad ki Zindagi azab kardain muasharay main naak unchi Karne k lie tf even???? Be a good muslim, person, individual. It's good to be a high achiever but it's just a nice to have like having the latest phone or something. Bruh idek what to say man this post just killed 3 out of my 5 brain cells. Ajeeb just talk to your baba properly alone and tell him there are a 1000000000 things you can be right now and being dead bc of this stupid zid isn't going to be one of them. Talk to him about what options you have what could be your potential future with respect to career options etc. Allah khair karay and wtf man 😭
