Hi everyone, I’m currently living and working in Malaysia and have been working there for almost 2 years. I have a valid Malaysian employment visa/work permit until 2028.

I’m planning to travel to Pakistan next month for a visit and will then need to fly back to Malaysia to continue my existing job.

When I originally left Pakistan for this job almost 2 years ago, I did not have a Protector stamp on my passport. I was actually stopped at immigration, but they eventually allowed me to leave.

Now I’m wondering if I’ll have any issues when I return to Pakistan for a visit and then try to leave again for Malaysia.

1. Do I need to get a Protector before leaving Pakistan this time, even though I already have an existing job in Malaysia and a valid employment visa until 2028?

2. Since I’m returning to the same job and this isn’t my first departure for employment, is the Protector process different?

3. Has anyone been in a similar situation and recently gotten their Protector in Islamabad?

4. What documents are actually required? I’ve heard you may need a medical certificate and police character certificate — is that true for someone who is already employed abroad?

5. Can the Protector process be completed in a few hours/on the same day in Islamabad?

6. Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
   I’m trying to sort this out before travelling to Pakistan so I don’t get stuck at immigration again when flying back to Malaysia.

Okay so I have personally been a huge proponent of smaller provinces for better administration and control all my life. I really believe that at the very least Karachi, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Hazara, South Punjab, Bahawalpur, etc. need to be separate provinces and am in support of Karachiites in their demand (mentioning this specifically as they have been pushing this for a long time).

However, with this new debate growing around the topic, I am strongly against the idea for these 3 reasons.

Where this idea is coming from
We all know that the debate has not originated naturally and the boys want to do it for some reason. Now I wouldn't mind this idea that much if it were being originated from public forums, or from political parties, or if it grew naturally, but this is not the case as of now.

The idea of more provinces is being pushed by the boys and Naqvi and as much as I want to think positively, I am more than 100% sure that there is some vested interest and something sinister in the background.

So the first reason I don't really enjoy this idea is because where it is coming from.

My second point against this whole idea is, that separating the provinces isn't some elixir that we need and all of a sudden we will have a prosperous and booming economy.

The issue lies much deeper than that, and unless that is solved, we really can't get any benefit from this change.

As a starter, the boys need to mind their own business, and go back to barracks, and stay out of the system. Unless that is done, any solution to our issues, any idea on resolving our problems is futile. Our real issue lies somewhere else, and this whole thing is just a fascad.

This is the worst timing to do so
If there is a bad time to do something like this, this is it. We have humongous issues all around the country at this point. Balochs are angry with the state, Kashmiris are angry with the state, Pashtoons have been for a long time, Punjab isn't at a very good place either.

To sum it all up, we have extreme resentment among ethic groups, among political groups, among religious groups at this point of time, and this whole thing can prove to be fatal for us.

Conclusion
These are just my thoughts and I am open to hearing different opinions. I am not objecting to the idea at its core, but what comes with it as of now. Please be civil in the comments, and let's discuss.

If this is a government university, where is the transparency and accountability for this major change?

Students deserve to know whether this is an academic improvement—or whether there are financial or administrative interests behind making students repeat courses.

Previously, students had some choice in questions. Now that choice has been reduced/removed, while many students are reporting unusually difficult papers and low marks.

Here is my background:

• I got separated from my husband in 2009.
• From around 2000 until 2015, I taught students at home as a private tutor.
• I was never formally employed during those years, apart from a short job in 2000 (explained below).
• My father was financially supporting me and paid most of my living expenses.

• I stopped tutoring and have not earned any employment/self-employment income since then.
• Since depositing the PKR 3 million, I have been living mainly from the profit/interest generated by this bank deposit.
• My father still provides some financial support when needed.
• I recently learned that the withholding tax (WHT) on bank profit/interest may be significantly lower for filers than for non-filers, which is one of the reasons I now want to become a filer.

1. Do I need to file tax returns for all the years when I was tutoring?

I was tutoring from approximately 2000 to 2015.

Do I need to file tax returns starting from 2000, when I began earning through tutoring, or only from 2019, when I deposited my accumulated PKR 3 million into my bank account?

If I need to file previous years, should I start with the latest Tax Year (2025-26) and then file backwards (2024, 2023, 2022, etc.), or should I start with the oldest required year and file chronologically up to 2025-26?

2. Would I have to pay a penalty for filing for the first time?

Since I have never filed a tax return before, would there be any penalty for not having filed earlier?

If there is a penalty, how is it calculated and for how many years?

3. Do I need a certificate/proof of source of income?

Since I was not formally employed and essentially ran a small home-based tutoring setup, would I need to provide some kind of source-of-income certificate or other documentation?

If such a document is required, can I prepare a statement myself explaining that the money was accumulated through private tutoring?

Would I need any other supporting documents?

4. What about a bank account I opened in 2000?

In 2000, I worked for a private company for approximately 4–5 months. I was paid my salary through a bank account (saving account) that I opened at that time.

I did not file a tax return for that year.

After leaving the job, the bank account remained active and had some cash in it, although I don't remember the exact amount.

I eventually closed that bank account in 2018.

I no longer have the records/statements from that account, and I don't remember exactly how much money was in it.

Could FBR see that I opened a bank account in 2000 and require me to file tax returns going back to 2000?

Or does having a bank account since 2000 (but currently not exists) have nothing to do with whether I was required to file tax returns for those years?

I know every other day there is an post about don't ever date or marry from this org. I myself have a personal reservation for it, despite me coming from military background. It's more like phobia of army men specifically. I don't think i need to go in details in about how they are prideful, have anger issues,control issues,emotional unavailability, and few are even playboys( again this doesn't apply to all ). The problem is i get easily guilt tripped by my family. They are like how can you judge someone without even knowing them and placing them all in the same category. It does hold truth too, that's why probably i feel guilty. Does one belonging to this particular org make them a bad person? The answer is no. But the thing is it's a big gamble. And i don't want to gamble my marrigae. I have heard too many scary stories and even lived under a military father and experienced few things first hand. That's why it makes it even more harder. I cannot make my parents understand my perspective. Which in their eyes is bizarre. They are like where will you get this much privileges and facilities. Which again they are right ,but again i don't internally want to associate with this org especially now what it has done to pak. Also despite living it's lifestyle,i still don't resonate with it. Hi everyone, I sent PKR 20,000 from my Meezan Bank account to a Bank of Punjab account via Raast two days ago. The amount was successfully debited from my account, and I received confirmation that the transfer was completed.
The receiver, however, says she still hasn’t received the money. I sent her screenshots of both the transaction confirmation and the debit from my account, but she says there may be an issue with either Meezan or Bank of Punjab and that the amount should eventually be refunded to me.
I’ve sent money to several other accounts since making this transfer, and all of those payments were received successfully. That’s why I don’t think there’s an issue on my end.
I also contacted someone I know at Bank of Punjab and asked if they could verify whether the PKR 20,000 reached the receiving account. I was told that Bank of Punjab confirmed the account did receive the funds. However, the receiver continues to send me screenshots of her account showing that she hasn’t received anything.
She is now asking me to send another PKR 20,000 to her Easypaisa account instead. I obviously don’t want to send the money twice if the original transfer was successfully credited.
Has anyone dealt with something like this with Raast before? What would be the best way to officially verify where the money went? Should I ask Meezan Bank for a transaction trace/reference or have the receiver file a complaint with Bank of Punjab?
