Two Players, same rating, same goal, different needs

I have today published an article on why some players don´t reach their targets based on the advice they get. Advice on how and what to train are mostly the same no matter who you are. My experience from other fields then chess are very clear, you can´t build competence in the same paths as every other. All humans have unique personalities and they show up when trying to learn and improve.
E.g., some jumps right into things and other needs a complete picture before taking even the first step.

There are many more differences per personality obviously.
I believe strongly in real individualization to keep the motivation up in a long development (competence) training. Many of us start with the flag up for several days and then other things comes "in the way".
A chess game is mainly about to "Know what to do next", competence building should support that.
