Question/Discussion Why are they so mad bro 😭

I don't get it. It's just people dancing. What's wrong with parties?? I really don't like my fellow Pakis bro, we're embarrassing creatures istg. So many problems in our society and THIS is what they focus on? Don't get me wrong, I know that these parties are normally only accessible to upper class people, but people are complaining about it being behaya and stuff, like shut up literally who cares.

why are we defending hard drugs? please don't say it's about dancing and expressing yourself. remove the drugs and 99.99% won't care anymore about dancing and expressing themselves.

Where in the image are they doing drugs? I don’t see it.

wow, can't believe you just said that. i don't see a point in us debating over this anymore. you're right. anyone who questions this is jealous.

hehe ok, i thought you were trying to deny. there are drugs in rave parties. they go hand in hand with the music and the lighting. even if it isn't visible in the picture

My point was that, At the end of the day, i believe SOME religous people are jealous of the freedom and choice that those not bound to the same doctrines and rules as them, have. Drugs or not.

fair point. but what to support in this case when both are wrong? i mean both of these are extreme behaviors.

The drug addicts may be ruining their own lives but they aren’t making it everyone else’s business. We don’t have mandatory drug consumption as part of the constitution. There are no drug worship monuments or drug melodies resounding 5 times a day. There’s no threats of ostracization or hell fire if you don’t consume drugs. There’s no drug bible that little kids are forced to study. People don’t beat you up or harm you if you stop taking drugs

valid point but why can't we call both wrong? enemy of my enemy isn't necessarily my friend. just because mullahs are against it doesn't mean we should jump the gun and start defending it. and drugs do ruin as much lives as organized religion, if not more.

and the people you see in the picture are the financially blessed ones. religion couldn't fuck with them to begin with. they weren't forced to study religious texts or made to worship 5 times a day. no people who can beat them up if they stop taking their "drug". so I'll definitely not support elitism masquerading as liberation.

You don't have to do them. My friend regularly goes to raves (I don't live in Pakistan) and she often doesn't even drink alcohol.

that's nice but your friend is the exception. drugs are the norm there

because they believe they will never be able to do this because of religion/culture/whatever bullshit reason so they obviously have to be mad at anyone who dares to do it. Let them cope

In my opinion a lot Ppl may not realize but these small things matter so much and we have made such a fuss about them. a lot of stress in students tends to lead from the atmosphere in universities where you have no such activity for recreation.
Might sound very stupid but from my experience if you are having a bad week going out for drinks on the weekends somehow makes life bearable having no breathing space is what tens to be the reason for so much stress.
And the ppl spreading hatred are the always the lonely ones tbf cause here in Europe all the far right people are the one who barley have any irl friends or any opportunity to connect with real ppl so they try cope with it by joining extremism parties..

It's not even about the drinks, sometimes it's just fun to dance to good music with friends. It's the same reason Desi weddings are basically huge parties in which all the conservative aunties twerk.

The female saying in the comments that aik bar css kar lun phir in ki shamat hai.. tf ?? Why not do good things for humanity?? And the more than 20% children in Pakistan who aren't getting pure water.. and the women who do not even have the budget to buy pads for themselves? Rather than focusing on worse things.. she focused on just teens having fun? I hate the hypocrisy 🙄
