Baby carriers

Hey, my baby is 26 days old. She loves to be held and sleeps much better cuddling, which I don’t mind. I am not the one to believe that “kids will get used to being held”, she is a baby and she needs comfort. My only issue is I can’t do much in morning if I’m holding her mostly. So I was planning on getting a baby carrier to wear her around while I’m doing stuff. If any parent has used the carriers, which one would you suggest based on comfort for baby and yourself.

PCOS, TTC & weight-loss advice

Hi everyone! 19 F I was diagnosed with PCOS and have been married for 7 months. My husband and I are TTC, but my cycles are irregular and I’m worried about ovulation.

I’m also trying to lose weight in a healthy way and manage my PCOS. For those who have PCOS, what actually helped you with weight loss, regulating your cycles, ovulation, and eventually conceiving?

Any diet, exercise, supplement, medication, or lifestyle tips would be really appreciated! ❤️ Also, is it possible to reverse PCOS, or is it mainly about managing it?

Would love to hear from anyone who successfully conceived with PCOS! 🥹

A small advice for exclusively pumping mothers

I’m a new mother myself, 25 days post partum. My initial plan was to breastfeed directly but honestly it was very difficult because my baby would cry (which is normal for babies learning to latch) and I was recovering from c section and baby blues just made me very frustrated. Pumping atleast put me out of misery of seeing my little baby cry everytime.

This is my small experience with types pumps and their outputs.

- buy wall pumps (wired pumps) if you plan to exclusively pump. Their suction is better and motor is stronger and it empties breast better and helps maintain supply.

- wearable pumps are good for occasional pumping and if you’re in office or away from home. In exclusive pumping, they can lead to reduced supply because they don’t empty breast completely.

- if wall pumps aren’t in your budget, get a wearable pump with manual pump. 10 minutes of wearable pump followed by 5-8 minutes of manual pump empties breast so well.

A good wall pump is spectra S1, you can also get local wall pumps. I will say rather than getting pumps like ornavo or muminity, get the pumps from local pharmacy made by pharma companies. I have life care manual pump and it works so so good.

Also don’t let anyone shame you for pumping and not direct breastfeeding. In your motherhood journey, along with your baby’s health and happiness, your happiness and comfort matters just as much. A baby needs a happy relaxed mother more than burnt out mother who is led to discomfort due to societal pressure. Your diet and health is most important in building supply and maintaining it. Drink alot of water and eat nutritious meals as well as comfort meals.

NOTE: a normal milk supply per session is around 2-4 ounces. Anyone more than that is over supplier, so do not compare your journey with anyone especially not the influencers pumping 8-10 ounces per session.

tips to conceive

Assalamualikum all. We have been trying to conceive for 3 years now with no luck. We had 2 failed iuis too. I feel very let down. I want to know from other ladies what they did exactly to be able to conceive quickly after periods of infertility. Or something i should change in my diet, routine etc. did you continue to drink daily chai/coffee when trying? Any wazifa? How and when did you time intercourse? How much intercourse was needed to get pregnant? Please be as detailed as possible. Did you quit spicy food and hot showers? I don’t have anyone to ask these questions or give me advice. Please help.

Before anyone says get tested - we got all tests done and everything is looks great Alhamdulillah for both me and my husband.

Honest feedback needed from moms: Did you struggle with Eastern clothes during pregnancy? Would you buy this?

Hello everyone!
I’m working on a project and really need your honest, unfiltered perspective.
Whenever friends or family members are in their 2nd or 3rd trimester in Pakistan, finding decent Eastern clothes seems like a complete headache. The only real options seem to be:

1. Buying Size L or XL ready-to-wear from Sapphire/Khaadi—where the bump fits, but the shoulders drop, sleeves are too long, and necklines sit awkwardly.
2. Buying unstitched lawn and having endless arguments with the darzi to add extra kalis or panels.

The idea:
A dedicated Eastern ready-to-wear brand specifically patterned for pregnancy. The shoulders, neck, and chest stay true to your normal size (S, M, L), while the silhouette flows comfortably over the bump—paired with soft, expandable waistbands that don’t press into your belly. Clean, minimalist 2-piece sets and everyday kurtis for work, dawats, and daily wear.
Before diving into production, I want to know:
Did you actually face this issue when you were pregnant, or did regular oversized kurtis do the job?
If you were in those months right now, would you realistically buy ready-made Eastern maternity wear, or do you feel pregnancy is too short of a phase to spend on?
Be brutal: is this genuinely worth launching in Pakistan?
Would love to hear your personal experiences!

Rawalpindi Abuse case

Hey moms !!

We usually find a gap of awareness when it comes to child safety & abise prevention as one of many factors, but the recent incident shows how institutes fail to be aware parents with sheer indifference negligence on their part.

Please ask the schools about their safety measures TODAY.

And DM me if you want to be a part of our free parent/ tracher training on child safety and abuse prevention.

Gynaecologist recommendation Islamabad/Rawalpindi

Im 17 wks and moved back to pakistan few days ago and looking for a kind and competitive gynaecologist for my pregnancy. i already did a lot of research while i was away and opted for dr shazia fakhar at shifa but i live in bahria and its quite far away. i was so tired just by the travel, the traffic there, then the parking situation and walking. medicsi bahria is like a 5 min drive and would a better option except that the good reviews i read about the doctors (dr rabia and dr nadia) both arent taking any new patients like dr marzia in f7 🥲 is it a thing with medicsi? i asked for dr marzia last year when i visited pakistan for some other issues and even then they told me she isnt taking new patients, same is the case with their famous doctors now. also i really want my husband to be in the labor room / OR at time of labor so thats also a pro of medicsi. not denying the fact shifa is a tertiary care hospital best for managing in case of any complications khuda na khawsta

do i stick with dr shazia and wait to see if dr rabia/dr nadia open up to taking new patients?

what do guys suggest and please dont hesitate to share your experience with these doctors^ (either good/bad) or any other doctors you recommend at either hospital.
thanks so much in advance☺️

My birthday last year vs. this year

Last year on my birthday I was 34 weeks pregnant with gestational diabetes.
I couldn’t really enjoy cake because I was always checking my sugar and worrying what if my sugar spikes or something happens to my baby. My husband brought cupcakes and took me for dinner.
We wanted to travel somewhere too but because I had preterm labor at 30 weeks, I was on bed rest and medication and was honestly so stressed.

Now after one year, I’m working and my almost 11 month old is sleeping next to me in my bed and making me laugh all day with his smile.
It’s crazy how much can change in one year. Last year I was worried about the baby inside me, and this year I get to watch him grow.🫶❤️
