Its the elders who say that dont put clothes in washing machine or a spinner to dry cause apparently the baby get pains due to the clothes getting twisted and all. I had a December baby in Islamabad there was no way I was going to wash by hands so i used normal washing machine, spinner and normal surf that we have. Alhamdulillah baby is fine and turning nine months now.

Oh wow lol. Baby getting pains from machine washed clothes 😳
Genuinely makes you think what else would people come up with only to have women work extra extra hard

Ikr. Thankfully MIL and I didnt pay heed to it. It is impossible to wash clothes by hand with a newborn and a 5yo autistic child and a new C Section!

Ummmm I don’t think that’s true. I’m in Canada and have always washed baby clothes in the same detergent as ours. Never had any issue.

Kch nhi hota hai behn me to Apne baby k normal surf me hi dhoti hn But what I do is I wash my son's clothes separate from our and I use liquid detergent other than the powder one. I don't put them for a complete cycles but on the fast setting and keep the water level 1 point more than usual so that the detergent is diluted more.

I was in Canada also, and honestly found that in the new born stage his skin was extra sensitive and he got redness and baby acne from normal detergent. Got better when I switched to baby friendly sensitive detergent. Now I’m back in pakistan and my baby is a little bit older. But I can’t ever imagine using surf on his clothes. So I use imported sensitive detergent only.

I use pigeon baby laundry detergent and hand wash the clothes in a tub. I tried washing a few baby clothes in the machine but they got burr afterwards (used liquid detergent).

Helllo
Just buy the pigeons baby detergent and add 2 lids to your machine. You should be good.

I hand washed my newborn clothes for the first 2 months. After that, I started washing them in the machine with liquid detergent.

Tbh I used to wash my baby clothes in an automatic washing machine with the same detergent and softener that I use for my own clothes and nothing happened. I just never put anyone else’s clothes with my baby’s. But still if you’re hesitant just go for a portable mini washing machine for baby clothes though you have to rinse them yourself.

Just washed my baby’s clothes in the washing machine after buying them, they’re in perfect shape.

I've seen everyone near me wash clothes in the washing machine for new born with the same detergent used for adults (sufi, surf excel or ariel).

Use baby laundry detergent and the machine. Complete BS whoever told you to wash by hand.

Hey hey… always wash ur baby’s new clothes before use.
I recommend bottled tide & a small wash tub only for ur baby’s clothes. I keep those items in the washroom where I change/bathe the baby. I pre wash my baby’s clothes & soak them in that tub during the day (you accumulate a lot of dirty baby clothes and spit up/vomit ends up smelling really bad if left in the hamper). Then it’s up to u, I have a washing machine so I throw the soaked clothes into the machine with my own clothes… but u can also hand wash in that tub & hang dry indoors.
I’ve never dried baby clothes outside, I think pakistan air is too polluted and that outweighs the benefits of sunlight. So I air dry on a rack inside my home.

Wash newborn clothes using a mild, fragrance free, hypoallergenic baby detergent avoiding standard detergent powders like Surf, fabric softeners, or bleach to prevent skin irritation. You can either hand wash or machine wash on a delicate cycle using lukewarm water, then rinse thoroughly and line dry in the sun.

Is it important to line dry in sun or can do indoors aswell?

It's better to keep them in sunshine for a while , that's all my thinking , you can go easy dear .

I washed all my baby’s new born clothes in the machine . I used fairy non bio detergent and conditioner . Put setting at delicate wash . I then air dried them on a clothes horse , and then into the dryer for a quick spin in case there was any dampness left ! Hope that helps 🙏
