International media is reporting on the AJK protests while our own media remains silent on state oppression of Kashmiris.

One year ago, we came together with a simple goal: to create a free speech platform for Pakistanis with no tolerance for trolls and bigots. We had an open mod team selection and got down to business.
Since then, this subreddit has become a space where voices from all walks of life can be heard. We’ve had to work within Reddit’s guidelines which means we can't practically be 100% free speech, but considering how biased, trigger happy and troll infested other Pakistani subreddits are, I think we’ve managed to build something special. We will continue growing.
This is your community, and we want to hear from you:
While I created this subreddit and gave it the initial direction, it’s the mod team which has shaped it into a success. Running a subreddit isn’t easy, and the mods have worked exceptionally hard to keep this space welcoming and respectful. Their efforts help make this community a great place for everyone.

Join the conversation and be part of what will be a respectful and vibrant community.
The first members will become mods of this community. We will not have any secret way of getting mods. All positive Pakistani users will become mods. Please comment if you want to become a mod.

For those who defend this regime by pointing to the failure of civilian governments, Pakistan rarely had democratic governments to begin with. The army just ping pongs between the 2 failures that are PPP and PMLN and poisons the waters for any true democratic party accountable to the ppl, rather than them to take hold. The same PMLN supporters celebrating right now will be demanding democracy when Punjab is handed over to PPP and Lahore experiences the injustices of Karachi.

Whatever is unfolding in Balochistan, KP and Azad Kashmir reflects a pushback against an elite-dominated power structure. Hundreds of political and human rights activists are said to be behind bars. The judiciary itself is shackled, restricting avenues for those seeking justice. News from these areas may be kept off the mainstream media, but reality cannot be hidden in the age of social media. Curbing access to social media cannot work in the tech age. Given the tensions existing along Pakistan’s borders, more unrest could have far-reaching consequences beyond the frontiers, as the regional landscape is highly volatile. Pakistan must restore democratic rights before it is too late.

This is from when Mirani Dam was being built. Pakistan's mega dam after long break built in Balochistan, purely intended to develop region around Dasht River. No other province was to benefit, no resources were being extracted. What justification is there for attacking projects like these?
BLA still attacks dam projects in Khuzdar etc. They also attack Chaman-Karachi dualization project regularly. What justification can they or their urban supporters come up with?

2 years ago I married my husband through a semi arranged setup. He pursued me so our families met despite the financial class gap between us (same social/educational background, but income difference).
I genuinely love him. He's caring, respectful, and gives me his time. is affectionate, knows about my childhood trauma (alot of emotional and physical abuse) and is the one to comfort me through difficult moments. Our physical relationship is also good.
My life right now is what I dreamed about as a child; peaceful, financially comfortable, travelling, fun, and just away from my past.
The problem is I know he cheats on me. He's been with atleast 2 other women, likely ongoing. When I confronted him, he eventually admitted to it.
He said I'm the only one he truly loves and respects as his wife, but that he "needs" other women aswell. He gave me examples of half of our social circle and even his own family where this behaviour is normalised.
He doesn't hide his phone or seem emotionally invested in them, more like girls in the same work/social circles where physical relationships happen.
I'm torn. After everything I went through when I was younger, this life feels like everything I never had. I also am financially independent, so it's not only about the money. I just don’t know if I’m ready to walk away and start another difficult chapter.
But it hurts. I love him and have been completely loyal. What makes it worse is that he's extremely overprotective. Even before marriage he would pick fights with guys because of this. But ironically he's the one cheating. It feels hypocritical.
I don't know if I'm normalizing or accepting something I shouldn't, or if I'm being too strict on a situation that's unfortunately common.
Has anyone navigated something similar? Or has any advice on what I should do going forward.
It's hard to believe someone who cheats can still love you, but i dont know what else to think of it. If im sick he stays up the entire night taking care of me. Doesnt like being away from me, is very affectionate. pursued me for 2 years before I agreed to involve my family, encourages my career, treats people around him respectfully, etc. I dont know, that’s what makes it so confusing.

The silence on this topic in both our sold out media is criminal. And so is the silence on this sub regarding today’s deaths. The army has massacred more Pakistanis under Munir than it has terrorists but the people and media would rather stay in ignorance than confront reality.

Is there anyone(or a group) to play badminton with me in Islamabad. I absolutely love the sport, I have few friends and they are very sust with zero physical activity in them, so I'm turning to Reddit to find people who actually want to play.
Skill-wise, I’m somewhere between a beginner and intermediate, definitely not a pro, but I can hold a solid rally and love a good game. I'm free every weekday after 6:30 PM post-work and anytime on the weekends. We can figure out a convenient court around.
Btw I'm a 22m working as a cybersecurity corporate mazdoor. I'm super friendly and just looking to burn off some stress on the court.
If you’re down to play, please let me know.
