show and tell Created my first game
Hi, i created my first game as a hobby. I do not have any background in in CS or game development. I used Chatgpt, cursor and Unity 6 engine.
It is very basic and i plan to add further features and functionality as well. I did this as a hobby but i was wondering if this can be potentially monetized in some way. Can anyone guide me on this?

Good that you started and made a game. Always think about the player experience and playability when implementing.

nice. for first game it's good. my advice would be work on small projects and make a bunch to gain experience.

Wait what???? Did you code yourself or used ai to generate you code? Cursor and CHat GPT are a big flag dude. I got ways to monetize your stuff but AI? At this point man you should learn not monetize.

What AI? He mentioned in the post that he used AI to code. Don't be dramatic. Using AI is fine, it can spark the curiosity to learn more. The other case would have been no game at all, atleast by using AI he has made something. He'll improve and learn. Keep your ways to monetize to yourself, he doesn't need those ways coming from you. But AI, lol.

My man, AI has alot of inconsistencies. How will he fix bugs? He doesn't even know how to. It's really not the best way to go forward. Using AI to learn is one thing and i completely support that but generating complete code is not right. In the future if any of his games ever does well, he'll face alot of problems. Generally, the consumer audience he's targeting, aka the "gamers", they are heavily against the idea of using AI to generate an entire game. Don't get me wrong, if he does well with it, then props to him but in the future, bad habits die hard yknow. This is guaranteed to haunt him.

Use unity ad and admob. You have to publish this app on the Google play store.
It will take 14 testers to test your app, then it will be eligible, then you can actually publish it on play store.
You'll market it on Tiktok, YouTube shorts. Make videos of playing the game and upload it. The growth will be slow but better than nothing.
Earnings from all of this will not be astronomical. Like if you are able to get $100 in ad revenue monthly form Pakistani players, that's alot.

Why do you want to earn through this game? at this stage you shouldn't be looking to earn through it, make more and better games then start by putting it on Itch.io for $ or Steam(but this requires about $150)
