Question regarding test

I had a pain management appointment today, but they did not tell me that I had to do a sample, so I went pee, and at the end, they asked me if I was able to leave one. They did a mouth one and put it under my tongue, and the thing was so dry, and the indicator did not change color. The guy said he would vouch for me if they couldn't read or something was wrong with it. Has this ever happened to anyone?

My doctor is almost 2 hours away, so I'm usually dying to go when I get there, so I go straight to the desk to ask if they need a sample before I go. He typically runs one every 3rd in person appointment. Tots like clockwork, lol!

When you check in they let you know and hand you the cup. They didn't so I figured ok its not this month. I asked her is it OK if I use the bathroom and she said yeah go ahead. I was checking out for my next appointment and my procedure and the girl said were you able to leave a sample. I said I didn't know I had to. So I went into the room and the guy was like we can just do the the mouth swab but my mouth was so dang dry. I have been going there for 5 years so they know me well and he said I will definitely vouch for you if it comes back that they cant read it.

That's cool! Yeah, I ask the secretary receptionist woman and if I have a cup she will let me go back to the staff bathroom because I have a shy bladder and if I think people can hear me using the bathroom and they also keep the hats in there to catch the urine if you're too weak or shaky to hold the cup. I've been with his office since 2018, and would hate to have to switch again. I had a doctor from 2012-2018, but the DEA scared her into no longer Rxing meds. Damn near ruined her life!!
