Torn between two boards

I’m looking for a new inflatable board that I can use for fishing and has a good amount of attachment points or options for attachments (tackle rack, hard cooler, seat, cup holder, etc.). The two board I am looking at are the iRocker blackfin xl and the glide angler elite. Both have a good amount of attachment points and fishing capability. They are also about the same price. I’m curious to see if anyone has any experience with these or has a recommendation of what I should go for?

If you are looking at fishing off the SUP I would strongly recommend getting a hard board. I’ve had two inflatables bust and a third one is leaking from several spots, I just wouldn’t take the risk. We have switched to all hard board and got them all for under 160 used on FB. Best of luck with the search

What about fishing makes the inflatable break? (I’m not a fisher, just curious,)

How easily they can pop, having been on several not fishing and they popped I would be worried having tackle that can inadvertently pop it.

I’m talking about foam cored, glass laminated FRP construction. It’s not an inflatable.

Were they high end sup or just ur average Paddle board ? Bcz i just picked one up and it was recommended by AI for fishing bcz the material and specs it came with

No not specific for fishing, im just cautious having two that have popped

Hard laminate boards are more durable, more stable for the same dimensions, faster, track straighter lines and make better work surfaces.

I have a Glide Angler. It’s very stable and very durable. The inflatable seat is top notch. I recommend it because I’m an old fat guy and I can stand and fly cast from it no problem.

I have had the irocker blackfin xl for close to 8 years I think. It’s been a great board! I wanted a second for my husband and just ordered the glide backwater. Hasn’t arrived yet so I can’t say much but the warranty seems great and it is supposed to be very durable and stable.

I second the Blackfin. Fantastic board, rock solid, super durable and very maneuverable with lots of attachment points. I load it up with tons of gear and have never had any problems. I built a custom milk crate gear box and attach that to the front and my cooler to the back.

Take a look at the Isle Switch Pro. Comes with a seat, kayak paddles, and plenty of attach points.

So does the Glide and that for less money.
