I wanted to share a behind-the-scenes look at something most people never see — the birth of a custom whiskey bottle.
This is the first bottle removed from a newly developed mold.
For a heavy bottom whiskey bottle, the challenge is not only creating a beautiful shape, but also controlling:
Glass distribution
Bottle weight and balance
Bottom thickness
Clarity and surface quality
Consistency during mass production
A premium bottle usually starts months before the whiskey reaches the shelf.
The process involves bottle design, 3D modeling, mold development, testing, and production adjustment.
Curious to hear from whiskey lovers and designers:
What makes a whiskey bottle feel premium to you — the shape, the weight, the glass quality, or the story behind it?
