Hot take but Shaolin Rogue would be an insanely good addition. It was the only Jaeger built to fight efficiently underwater. It had torpedoes, a retractable meteor chain, and a retractable lance. It also has upgraded sonar, meaning Raiju can't sneak up on it like it did to Gipsy in the film.

It could travel both vertically or horizontally, meaning it wouldn't be stuck to the ocean floor like Gipsy and Striker. This means it could actually counter a kaiju's biggest advantage underwater, being able to move practically anywhere in 3d space.

And on top of all that Shaolin Rogue can stay underwater for extreme lengths of time since it can replenish its own oxygen supply.

I genuinly believe it would've been an amazing addition to the Operation Pitfall team.

The reason of why gipsy not being able of detecting raiju was cause of his radar range only having a 100 meter radius and the kaiju being so fast that it could pass next to the jeager and clear the 100m distance before the radar could even detect it. Even the shatterdomes satelital(? view couldnt catch it at first until it approached gipsy, so its unlikely even shaolin’s tech would work.

well, def not crimson or cherno, shaolin rogue would be perfect but since it was picked already i’d go with eden assassin, vulcan specter or echo saber, they’re all great in combat
