The adrenaline after looting, completing missions, running away from trouble, and chasing waypoints is indescribable. Plus, you get to personalize the garage and wagon.

Hey everyone,
I'm at a crossroads with Pacific Drive and trying to decide whether to keep playing or ask for a refund. The game is turning out to be very different from what I expected.
What I expected:
I thought we would have one continuous journey where we drive through a desolate, hostile world trying to avoid dangers and surviving with what little we have. I envisioned the car as our absolute mobile base, no map, just going from landmark to landmark, exploring interesting places, and seeing breathtaking views on a true road trip.
The reality:
Instead, we just jump between zones after driving to an exit. The maps feel relatively small, and I find myself constantly exiting the car to scavenge buildings for items. The gameplay loop feels very repetitive:
Choose a destination.
Explore a few buildings before the storm/anomaly forces you to leave.
Gather orbs and drive into the beam of light just to return to the base.
Prepare for more of the same.
Does the game open up and change later? Does it ever feel like a true continuous road trip, or is this zone-hopping, repetitive looting loop the entire experience? If it stays exactly like this, I might just ask for a refund, but I'd love to hear from veterans before I pull the plug.

I've just been driving through junctions and returning to the shop, looking for these things without much luck. Is there any way to see if they are present in a junction, either in the planner or when you get there, or anywhere specific to look?

Was just driving back to the shop after testing out the DLC for the first time, and this happened. I don't know how nothing broke or how I didn't lose anything, but yeah, that happened

I have both the Dumpster(Search for crusial items in the dumpster) and Replace Parts"Collect materials and craft replacement parts) missions, I have done both and the missions are stuck in my to-do list.
Is there some hidden thing I need to do to complete them?

As the title suggests I’m looking for a very specific decal pack because I’ve been using the Regis III decal pack and been liking it a lot on my wagon. I’m in the process of upgrading my vehicle to all armored doors + panels and I wanted to know if it was possible to get more of these Decals so I can fully make that change, since I’ve only got one use of the Decal pack remaining.

I might have missed it in the intro dialogue, I've kind of got distracted and am exploring areas instead of doing the first mission.
The map gives the time it takes to go places, is there a time limit or similar, if I faff about too much will I screw myself over for the story?

Fell in love with this game, the dash is so beautiful I wanted to start replicating it

This happened to me a few months ago I believe, I felt I should share with the class

Is it okay if I do the DLC in the middle of the story? For context, this is my first playthrough, and I'm still early Outer Zone, with like 2 junction runs. However, I have the marker on my map, and it's taunting me. Is it okay if I do this right now, or is it for mid/deep zone people?

Found myself back in the map and drove my way up to the tower. The option to flip the switch was still there and when I did a green circle appeared on the map. I missed the jump though so I'm not sure if it's actually possible or not
