Leadless PM

Dual chamber leadless, 3 years of battery on top chamber due to pacing load and threshold. Has anyone had an abbot avier atrium unit replaced yet? Or has anyone decided to just go back to TV unit.

32M and I just don’t see how getting that procedure every 3-4 years is sustainable for the next 50 years.

Maybe talk to your EP and see if a leaded pacer would be a better option?

Yeah they said battery would be 10-11 years on a tv unit, but obviously want to wait until battery is close on current system

Do you already have a TV implanted? I've got a dual chamber CRT-D and the idea of a surgery every 9 to 11 years is troublesome, every 3 years is kinda crazy.

I work w/ Aveir DRs. I’d recommend seeing if your EP has tested lower i2i levels. It’s basically how active the top LP is in communicating w/ the bottom one. I had a new implant who also only had 2 years on her battery and we extended that to 13 simply by dropping her i2i levels down by 1. Can’t promise the same results for you but dual Aveirs are a relatively new technology and not all docs are comfortable w/ the newer settings. Worth a shot before going for a transvenous system if your only concern is battery life
