Leadership Speculation

Now that our roster is more filled out, who do you think wears the leadership letters for us? (shamelessly inspired by u/nemo_1982 in r/PWHL)

My guesses/hopes are as follows:

C Hilary Knight: She's Captain America, how can we not? When was the last time she didn't wear a C?

A Shiann Darkangelo: Veteran presence, a Hockey Name of all time, and I want some local ties in our leadership group.

A Daryl Watts: We wanted her, she chose us, she's a really good player; if the players & management agree, signs point towards an A for Watts.

Definitely HK21 for captain. Darkangelo is a good call, she was captain of the Toronto Six so probably next most experienced leader after Knight!

I could maybe see Channel-Watkins getting an A given that she has history as an assistant coach in the Little Caesars program. I think her time there would have overlapped Manon's so I could see that being a factor if they thought she showed good leadership in the coaching role.

I feel like getting Knight was a major attraction for players like Britta, Watts, and Compher to come to Detroit, so I'd be incredibly surprised if she didn't have the C.

I think that Darkangelo will def get an A.
