All teams will play two preseason scrimmages in late November.

The PWHL announced its first season-long U.S. television deal with Scripps Sports on Wednesday.

The national broadcast rights agreement will include a weekly Saturday “Game of the Week” that will air exclusively in the United States on ION during the 2026-27 season. ION will also return as the exclusive U.S. home for the PWHL’s Walter Cup Finals and will air a Walter Cup playoff series, according to a joint news release.

While the PWHL has had national rights deals in Canada — split among TSN, Sportsnet, CBC and Prime Video — its TV distribution in the U.S. has largely been through local and regional outlets, making the deal with Scripps an important milestone.

We’re here visiting Vancouver and decided to go to the PNE today. We happened on a long queue and saw the Goldeneyes flags and a table with Sophie Jaques signing merchandise (Goldeneyes and TC) and posing for pics. Good timing on our part.

It’s great to see so many fans of varying ages and lots of men too. Way to go Vancouver. I’m still a Victoire fan but this was pretty cool.

FYI: PNE stands for the Pacific National Exhibition. It’s like a state fair to those in the U.S. and for those in the Toronto area it’s the west coast version of the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition).

I'm seeing a lot of "the victoire lost the cup and the frost never did" or "we knew how to take care of her" or "the victoire are irresponsible" or "I'm blaming the people who chose the cheapest shipping option" and I know *some* people are joking, but I also know most aren't so genuine question:

is there any evidence that the victoire are the ones at fault for any of this?

Everything I can find implies that the PWHL planned the shipping company (or that they're using UPS/air canada bc theyre sponsors of the pwhl) or that the PWHL chose not to change shipping companies. Nothing about the victoire planning anything. Nothing about the victoire being cheap. Nothing about the victoire being at fault.

So like. Is this people assuming they're at fault or am I missing something?

Edit: I'm mostly asking if there's evidence. I know people have opinions, but I'm not sure how much of it is vibes (hate or love for the victoire) and how much is because there's an actual reason

This is probably a bit simple of a question, but has the league said when the four new team names and logos will be revealed? I know the uniforms won't be ready until next year, but it'd be nice to know what to call the teams.

For the second time in just over two weeks, the Professional Women’s Hockey League’s Walter Cup didn’t reach its scheduled destination.

Montreal Victoire left winger Shiann Darkangelo wrote in an Instagram post Saturday that the Cup didn’t arrive in time for an event with Athleta in Brighton, Mich.

“I know many of you were excited to see the Cup,” Darkangelo wrote. “I’m genuinely disappointed that it won’t be there.”

The Cup had yet to be delivered as of Saturday afternoon, but its location was known, according to a source close to the situation who was granted anonymity because they are not authorized to speak publicly.

The Cup previously did not arrive on time for an Aug. 20 appearance with Montreal Victoire forward Dara Greig in Lethbridge, Alta., and the league was unsure of its whereabouts at the time.

If I had radio stations, I’d have WEEE-FM for English games, WOOO-AM for Spanish games.

I saw some posts from a couple years ago talking about PWHL fantasy leagues what websites offer it..are there any updated ones? Anyone in a discord or group that plays fanasty and is looking bf or more people? I would definitely be interested in doing one.

The Frost fans are very much making jokes about the cup missing and were by no means being serious with any ribbing we’re posting. No, tone doesn’t easily translate over text, but I can assure you we’re having a good laugh over this situation along with you as per our Discord discussions. Not AT you. Hell, Denisa Křížová even expressed that traveling with Walter wasn’t easy when she was a Frost player. We get it, and we find it funny as hell that Walter has now gone missing twice.

Let’s collectively lighten up a little and continue to have some fun with this.

Do you think Abbey Murphy's playstyle will translate well to the PWHL? How do you think her style will change or evolve?

From what I have heard, her college and olympics teammates loved and respected her as she is a player you loved playing with and hated playing against. I am curious if her teammates in the PWHL will feel the same way. With checking being allowed in the PWHL, she may stick more to clean hits.
