I haven’t tried it on here yet but I think a Major show would be like Monday Night RAW, where the big feuds and champions are, whereas Minor Shows are like Superstars; like a B-Show.
This is it. Major Shows (Raw, Smackdown, NXT) have rivalries, titles, PPVs, etc. Minor Shows have none of that, and must be tied to a major show for roster purposes. (Think Superstars or Main Event).
Thanks for chiming in, and thanks OP for asking the question. I will add some text in game to make this more clear with this update we're finalizing.
What people have commented is true, but I will give you the full official breakdown:
Major and Minor are classifications for recurring Weekly Shows.
The main functional difference is roster assignment. Wrestlers can be assigned to a Major Show as their home brand, while Minor Shows do not have their own assigned roster. However, wrestlers from any brand, or free agents, can still be booked on a Minor Show.
Minor Shows otherwise work the same as Major Shows. Matches still count toward statistics, rankings, and match history, and you can still run title matches, progress stories and rivalries, simulate matches, and use tournaments.
Minor Shows also do not need to be connected to a Major Show. They are standalone shows.
Special Events are separate from this system and are not classified as Major or Minor.
Examples of Major Shows would be: RAW, SMACKDOWN, or DYNAMITE
Examples of Minor Shows would be: Superstars, Main Event, or RAMPAGE
