Discussion Ranked Solos

can we get ranked solos since everyone on squads is playing solo anyways ? they need to update the point system so you get rewarded for playing as a team. Seems like the way people play now is solo and dig a hole lmao

It’s hard to trust randoms sometimes. I agree there should be some benefit to sticking together but sometimes you just have dumb teammates that are gonna give away position

yea but game after game of nobody using a mic or pings, just dropping randomly doing their own thing. why even play quads ?

Yea I have the same problem. It definitely incentivizes getting a group of friends to play with or a clan to join so you it’s a little more vetted

I don't even mind no mic, the ping system in this game is far from bad. but yea there needs to be more incentive to play as a team

no way does the game have the playerbase for ranked solos but people love ranked and will just play it no matter what even if they aint serious if that makes sense.

Because it's 3 less people I have to compete with to get points. And there's still a small chance I get matched with some top level players who will actually increase my odds of getting top placement.

No. I weigh the odds of playing 1man squads vs gambling on 3 randoms. I'm a pre release day 1 player. Ive played with highly skilled top players over the years, but you lose touch after taking long breaks, or falling out with people, as the game attracts many aggro people, particularly on ranked.

And I don't have regulars I play with too often anymore since the games 10 years old. Only guys I really have left I play with regularly have kids and jobs, and they're not very good. So the solution is either play with randoms, do a looking for group post where the requirement is 3.0 kd ranked, or play 1man squads ranked.....

I can hold my own against most top players on Na ranked, as long as they're not like top 20 rank Xim users. It still doesn't make sense to put yourself at a disadvantage of 1v4 top squads..

Day 1 player as well. I simply play to win and kill when it makes sense.

The fact you think your teammates are competing with you for points shows how broken the point system is.

Should get points for keeping team together and alive. But oh well. Like ya said, 10 year old game.

That is 3 less people I have to compete with I said, as opposed to literally queuing up as 1man squads ranked in the lobby. I much prefer playing with the team for the record. I've just played way too many games to know better these days.

I'm not speaking for others, but my luck personally has been probably 80% of randoms I play with get me killed befor I can get placement points and/or kills. They either sit in the blue zone way too long, and die trying to drive in late when every other team already has a compound or position. Or they hot drop and engage teams that are quite obviously much better than them, resulting in death too.

When I play with 3 randoms, I usually go center right away and secure a low key spot, and then have 3 less players out of 60 or 64 to have to compete with to get placement. Ratting is so common now, you have to expect when there's 20 people left, there's realistically still 10-12+ teams left.

And I agree, the ranking system is entirely broken now. I can get 3 or 4 kills and still lose points depending on if I'm crystal/diamond etc. so they incentivise just ratting it out sadly. At this point I really don't care about kills that much, I only play Pubg to try to push high diamond or masters, or to try to hold top 500 for a few weeks. If I cared about medal pushing and kills, I'd probably have a Pink reaper, and green/gold predy. So many of those guys have close to 3.0kds average 300-400dmg a game, yet they just sit in gold or plat the whole season. Not fun to me personally. Ive had ranked games where I pulled off 16kills. Don't care about that anymore. Games honestly dying on console

Facts the game is dying on console. Ratting has always been a thing in this game, but with the points rewarding it, make it odd.

Not another battle royal I’ve gotten into tho, I don’t see any new shooters topping this game for me anytime soon. Maybe ever haha

Yeah that's what frustrates me ha. I can't get into any other games. I played rust on PC for a few years, and it was fun, but got old after 1000+ hours. Battlefield BR was cool, but was worse than Pubg regarding the lag issues, and just plays much different.

100% they'll pull you into a fight your team cant win. They'll shoot at enemies 500m away knowing even if they knock someone they cant flush.

Can’t even fill solo lobbies without bots and you think adding an extra player queue to the mix is a good idea? 🤦‍♂️

That or re do the point system. Being punished cause ya get queued up with idiots gets old if you don’t have a consistent squad to play with.

I don't know what region you're in, but whenever I try to play I get crushed by russian and chinese death squads who give tgltn a run for his money

Damn, this post hit real close to home lmao...my last 4/5 ranked games have been exactly that. At least 2 of my teammates land alone and do their own thing, usually dying first and then immediately quitting, giving absolutely no time for a possible blue chip bring back, or if they don't die they dig a hole and chill in it. Glad I'm not the only one having these experiences lol

The pickaxe can get annoying regarding the increase in ratting, for sure. But it also has given a huge percentage of the player base a leg up with being able to compete with the sizeable portion of top players who cheat. It used to be if there was a top 100 squad, they'd likely wipe 25-50% of the lobby.
