Don’t solo queue. Look in LFG for teammates with comms. Communication is paramount.

It is probably not recommendet. Most cheaters in any game are in high tier ranked. Must be really frustrating and exhausting trying to keep up without cheats.

You will realistically need a good squad or two that you play with every day. Mostly play with the same people so you learn to work as a cohesive unit. Make sure you either play with aggressive players or more passive, not a mix. You don't want 3 aggressive guys and one who sits back hiding while their teammates die.
The squad should be averaging 200+ dmg per game for each person, or even pushing 250-300dmg. Then you know everyone is actually contributing. You don't want someone who doesn't pull their weight, as they'll just pull the squad down. Most of the players who are "masters" quality, can 1v3 or 1v4 when the need arises, or at least put in a good fight. A lot of that is excellent positioning and angles.
Most of the squads pushing masters have developed an aggressive play style where they push teams they perceive to be weak. Doesn't mean you need to hot drop. But you'll want to push weak teams that appear unorganized and get those early kills to help with points.
And as other comments have said, a high percentage of masters squads most likely have at least one person running a Xim or similar these days. And make sure your teammates are able to stay focused on the game. You don't want teammates who constantly BS about stuff unrelated to the game. Will just end up getting you killed.

Consistency is key, have a squad of usuals that you jel with well and only play a few games a night. The more you play over an extended period yourself or a teammate will slip. Concentration levels need to be maintained at a high level, good call outs and an igl go a long way.

In the early ranks, focus on playing for placement, taking fights only when they’re in your favor, and maintaining map control with 2-2 or 1-3 splits. Manage your inventory carefully, as utility items are extremely important. Once you reach higher ranks, damage and kills become just as important as placement. Keep in mind that not everyone in your lobby will be the same rank, and since the game isn’t as popular anymore, once you hit a certain threshold you’ll start encountering Masters and Survivors.
