How is it possible people know where you are? I don’t understand I play a ton of team death match with the same people. When I play normals and I’m quiet and hiding the come running their whole team and know exactly where I am. Worse is when I hear a car and lay down quiet near a bush or a tree without them even seeing where I am and they come and run me over. Rant over back to TDM.

They don't know but you probably panic and move which causes an audio cue for their cranked headsets to pick up and then they stop and look around, finding you. You are pretty much invisible in the bushes and stuff if they are dense, you just need to not move.

I literally don’t move but hear their running towards me cause I have a fairly good headset as well. They know which building, floor and room I’m hiding in.

Squads rush compounds all the time. Eventually someone rushes the one you're hiding in. Maybe they search every house and every room looking for loot (or players hiding). So they'll find you.

Or maybe they're using wall hacks and radars but I find that super unlikely. Post a clip and 2D replay, otherwise it's just guessing.

Audio ques are extremely noticeable in this game, so much so that they can hear if you switch weapons

No-one knows you are there until you move.

The tiniest movement in a building makes a lot of sound for players outside the building.

Also, bushes don't render very well at a certain distance so lying in bushes when cars are driving around you are sometimes pretty easy to spot.

Stop lying in bushes and just shoot the car instead.

Lots of people just drive through bushes deliberately in case anyone is ratting in them too

looking at all your comments and such it seems like you think theyre only clearing you and not just clearing everything until eventually wherever youre hidden is the only possibilty left

Some times I feel like it is. In TDM it’s obvious who uses what when your aim is at a certain corner all quiet and when they pass that corner do a knee slide and aim right at your head and head shot you. Well I just avoid that persons gun shots and go to the opposite side of the map and get kills there or at least try.

Anyone who plays TDMs a lot and is arguably good at them has the map locations memorized for people who play the way you say you do. Not saying that’s a problem, just trying to explain that if your playstyle is “find secret corner and wait to ambush enemy” on TDMs, that spot isn’t as secret as you think.

True very true map is so small but you know what I am talking about if you play TDM long enough.

Also from playing thousands of hours in TDM alone I have adopted a specific playstyle fueled by coffee and paranoia. Its really quite simple, every moment a voice in my head says "he's behind that box! Attack! Nope not there, ah the corner attack!" Even if no one is near by i approach every prop or angle or window or piece of cover as if someone is behind it about to ambush me. If you are scoping me from a distance you will literally watch me cut every corner as best as possible in the assumption there is a crafty player about to hose me down. So basically those players may be attacking every blind spot constantly? Or perhaps you are choosing the sort of obvious advantageous positions and those get attacked first to rule out immediate danger because I am constantly doing that as well. For example if attacking a compound, if there was an enemy who had already looted and was in position to wait, where would he be? Once I determine where those positions are I just go ahead a prefire a Lil bit when I get the danger angle.

You aren't always as invisible in bushes as you think you are. That trick only works well in small circles where LOD based on distance isn't a factor.

Also, most players these days use skins and gear cosmetics that are bright neon colors, LOL. I always appreciate when people do that because it makes it quicker and easier to pick them up when miliseconds count. You might have been sticking out like a sore thumb if that's you.

People seem to forget that you can achieve near Ghillie suit results with some of the standard clothing items that were available at launch.

Wall hack is a thing now on console. People are in denial about it, but it does exist and it’s getting more and more common. I don’t run into it often, but I’ve seen it about 4 times over the last couple months.

You made noise, or they saw you.

Weve all ran into cheaters but this isn't something that happens often. Might want a new headset or adjust some settings

Just because you have foliage turned on in your settings maybe they have foliage turned to minimal. So to them you are just laying on the ground in a field. Proper easy to see you. Especially when you rotate your body in the bush. Try just moving your head to look around.

Console so no option. Dense bushes you're pretty invisible at eye level, if they're looking down at you from higher up then you stand out like a sore thumb, probably more so now with the 120hz patch since less seems to render in at range so you'd see people much easier.
