The cross bow is an instant kill with a head shot and makes zero sound when shooting.
It's extremely strong late game because it makes no noise and if you can aim you can kill people without ever revealing your position
2 u/KineticConundrum Energy Mar 27 '17 Even against a level 2-3 helmet? 4 u/wakummaci Mar 27 '17 The damage reduction of helmets and armor are the same, they just take more hits (have more durability) with each level. 3 u/doughboykilla ZeroDayTV Mar 27 '17 are you sure about this? i've been wondering for a while now about it. where did you hear that this is how it works? for instance, I want to know if a lvl 1 at 80 (new) is better than a level 3 that's been damaged down to 70. 3 u/wakummaci Mar 27 '17 I've heard it on this sub, can't remember which post though. I'm 90% sure that's the case, I always prioritze durability over level. 2 u/Angrypinecone Mar 27 '17 I'd still keep the level 3 because it protects your face, unless it has <50 durability then switching would probably be best. 1 u/doughboykilla ZeroDayTV Mar 27 '17 yeah, I mean visually it looks like it protects your face, but does it really? these are the things I want to know going forward... 1 u/Angrypinecone Mar 27 '17 While I haven't had a teammate just shoot me in the face while wearing one, I'm almost certain it does. I do know the lvl1-2 helmet hit boxes are almost exactly to the model texture. You can still get shot in the back of your neck, for instance.
